How many posters have to take a position before you're confident you're able to take the contrarian one?I just read all this about Wrexham and don’t get it. I hope they go up

And deluded if they think they can regularly fill a 60K stadiumNo but they can make up How they're the biggest club in the world
Scabby deluded blue wankers
Yet you apparently want Boro to fail. I don’t get it, I hope they go up.

We are top? What is there to be jealous ofYa the Wrexham hate is jealousy rather than them actual doing much evil
Well, maybe the fact they have Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and we have Brylowes and Rob872.We are top? What is there to be jealous of
I dont care for either of them. People getting enamoured by celebrities is so odd to me.Well, maybe the fact they have Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and we have Brylowes and Rob872.

I wasn’t even in my dads bollocks then so i dont really have an opinionI never remember any negativity about Elton John owning Watford and he had a lot of publicity back in the day by the media

Different era when money wasn’t as big a factorIts irrelevant to a discussion on celebrities owning football clubs and getting a lot of media coverage?
Different era when money wasn’t as big a factor
i’ve never heard of John Elton anyway he’s not as famous as Deadpool
irrelevant they didn’t wear goalkeeping gloves then, no pass back rule and used a pigs stomach for a ballHe took them from the bottom division to the top league oddly by ploughing millions in
Out of interest why do you want Wrexham to go up but Boro to fuck it up?Its irrelevant to a discussion on celebrities owning football clubs and getting a lot of media coverage?
Yes I dont get why anyone would want a team to get promoted who will spend £120m minimumEcho someone else really for me. Wrexham will spend big if they go up, which may hinder us. That's the main reason we should want them to stay down.
Can't stand the media love in either though. The fawning from Sky is particularly cringeworthy. Having the owners commentating on a sky channel is ridiculous and probably verging on disrespectful to Swansea. As for the fairytale stuff, because they've come from non league to championship playoffs.... give over.

I’m hoping that flu outbreak is our only ‘divine intervention’ of the season.
I find it sad we have to lavish praise on clubs who in my view are everything wrong with modern football and take it away from being the sport I grew up loving. To each his own, you just aren’t going to find me praising teams who use cheat codes to speed through the pyramid.Yeh you echoing me. Congratulations that makes you right!
I don't want them up cos of the spend . Rather teams come up which hopefully do a Burnley or wolves like PTS tallyDobt hate Wrexham though. When I was a kid football fans loved football and that means all clubs
Yeh sure you had a club or two you hated but the rest of clubs you just respected .
I collected pro cards in early 90s and used to love getting card of a hull player on division 3 so don't expect me to hate on clubs now I'm older
You see it with new generation. If they support Liverpool it means they HATE 6 other rival clubs and all the European giants. Same goes if arsenal or man u etc
I find it quite sad tbh. I will bring my kids up to respect other clubs and be able to converse with opposition fans rather than just say "your shit"

With this Meningitis Outbreak we could end up with another end of season cancellation, or at least empty stadiums.
A bit OTT
Well I hope you're right.

What we are on the verge of doing is far more impressive precisely because nobody’s done us any favours on the way up. On the contrary, we’ve done it having had to overcome all sorts of hurdles. Yet if those twats go up too, you know who will get more media focus.
Let's not get all Corona fear factor-y again geez
I believe it is a life lesson.New generations? That's not new at all - it's not namby pamby rugby where you have to politely clap all teams - why would you care if your kids hate other clubs etc? They don't HAVE to like other clubs or even converse with their fans - it's not a life lesson

‘Football fans loved football and that means all clubs’?No one's asking you to lavish praise on them though and you know that
Oh come on. It's obvious what I mean. Football fans were obsessed with the sport as a whole. I would take great pleasure in reading the history of the European cup past winners or watching aidre Vs rangers in Scottish cup. Doesn't mean I had to sit there and praise those clubs I just didn't hate them‘Football fans loved football and that means all clubs’?
