Really keeping my fingers crossed that the gap between us and 3rd place remains at 5 points after Tuesday

Hull vs Watford and Portsmouth vs Ipswich.

If Hull win they will just be 2 points behind us.

Incredible really when you think about it. Never would have guessed Boro level on points and 3rd place just 2 points adrift, after seeing how far we were ahead.

Maybe now Watford's manager has gone, they will play with a bit more freedom and hopefully Pompey will continue their good home form..

More hopeful that Pompey get something than Watford. Watford have some great players, but seem a team of individuals. That said, they are capable if they can motivate themselves. Chaotic club, though.

Regardless of Tuesday, the weekends fixtures definately tasty and could go in our favour.

We have a favourable home game, hopefully a win.
Ipswich are at inform Derby. Tough that is.
Boro play Monday night at Sheff U. Hull have Brizzle. The gap could be back if it plays out well.

Then we have a Boro. After that, we could have a 6 point gap from Boro again.

Have a closer look at how Bristol City have been doing, and their transfer business......

Can't see watford playing with more freedom, in fact the opposite. Gracia had done a great job to get the team on the cusp of the play offs and has walked because he's not been backed in the January market is the general feel I'm getting so can see the squad morale being rock bottom

Quite often when a manager goes you can see a weight lifted.

One draw out of their last three home games, 0-2 and the other one was a draw and before that they were hammered 5-1 in the cup by Bristol City, so the wheels had come off a bit for them

It could galvanise the squad a little. Not saying it will, but it does happen quite a lot when a manager goes

Desperate to be in the conversation. Bricking it being in it.

A great run and dreading that first defeat. Two very tough away fixtures coming up. Would love 4 points

Rather than bricking it, just completely let go of your bowels like majority of us have on here.

Its much more cathartic to sit with excrement filling your trousers.

Boro reject approach from Forest for Hackney, Forest thrashing around everywhere trying to buy a midfielder and getting nowhere

Hackney has said himself he doesn't want to leave, I'd be surprised if he did unless Middlesbrough get an offer they could not refuse (even that is really possible at this point)

Local lad pushing to win the title with his boyhood team, no way he’s leaving unless he’s forced out.

Not sure that happens here. Gracia has gotten them in the conversation, I guarantee he did not leave due to on the pitch issues....

This is all conditional on us vaguely performing over the next few games tol; and that would mean a dramatic turnaround in form, which one player (Onyeka) is unlikely to effect alone. If EMC is out, then we are also down a key attacking outlet.

I really hope I’m wrong, but I just can’t see us taking advantage of the competition ‘slipping up’ at the moment, and that’s assuming they do…

I know, I know - glass half…cracked!!

Ok.
Who has signed who then.
Lost track of Hull's signings.
Boro - Sarmiento
Ipswich - half of Bristol City's best players
Birmingham - a Spanish winger and and expensive forward
Wrexham?
Sheffield United - Phillips
