This is starting to put us under pressure now. It's important that we deal with it well in the two upcoming away games. On this form I can't see Middlesbrough doing anything other than beat Norwich next Saturday.

We could well be out of the top two before the end of February. That doesn't mean we can't climb back up again but the team will need to keep its nerve.
I don’t think getting back into the top 2 after dropping out in Feb is going to be easy to do. It’s going to mess with our confidence, morale, psyche etc.

For the remaining games, we have to start on the front foot and put teams away like how we were doing earlier in the season. We’ve started slow for some time now and have had to claw points back. Need to be much more clinical and it has to start at Norwich.

Not sure I follow the idea of people having doubts after recent form of not just us, but other teams too, paired with the points gap hardly needing a mountainous swing, as being insensible. But thinking we’ll be fine and everything will go exactly how we need it to is seen as sensible.

I think weve been top for about 150 days .. imagine finishing in the playoffs now

Could happen. Sheff Utd were really unlucky not to be promoted on 90 points last season 🤷‍♂️.

While we were 12 points clear at the top we’d well overperformed at the start of the season and everything was flying in. Also other teams, like Ipswich, had underperformed. We were never a team/squad that was that much better than everyone else so things were always likely level off a bit as the season goes on. The fact we’ve had injuries to big players as well as a bad flu bug and untimely suspensions yet still maintained a gap, is impressive

All still in our hands though and im hoping we’ll start to get the rub of the green again over coming weeks

The more signings we make now, the more difficult it becomes to overhaul the squad in the summer to reach the required standard.

I assume when Ipswich got Kieffer Moore you thought that was poor?

The only focus at the moment should be on ensuring that we actually get promoted.
To be fair we only add 1 to the squad without getting rid of players so if we do sign this midfield SB says he is sure we'll sign then we need to get rid of players first before anyone else.

if we beat Boro, we can afford to lose 3 other games and still be above them whatever they do
They still have to go to Ipswich, so that is 4

How many games have we lost so far this season?
And that is without Boro losing any more

and yes, both teams will get some draws

That said Boro at home will probably be decisive
