Wrexham doing well for a team with shit recruitment and a shit manager...
Tbf to them, they purchased championship players. There is a lot to be said for players that know the league. Windass, Moore, Sheaf, Doyle and Hyam were very sensible signings to get them used to this level. Next year they’ll be a force.

Birmingham signed players from here, there and everywhere.

Wagner signs for Birmingham!

On Friday, Major League Soccer club Philadelphia Union announced that they have transferred the 28-year-old German left-back to Championship side Birmingham City. Transfermarkt understands that the deal is worth €2.5 million plus add-ons. The initial fee is only half of Wagner's market value of €5m.

Wrexham have done ok but it’s an expensive way to build a team buying older players on high wages with no sell on value. Be interesting to see how the PSR figures look in 2-3 years time.

They've just overspent on players by a ridiculous margin and have essentially cheated ahead of most teams that would come up from League One (I say most because Birmingham are with us this season as well). It isn't anything to be proud of whatsoever.

Stockport would have completed a rise from tier 6 to tier 2 but for those clubs.
