Ref should have given a second corner - clearly comes off an Ipswich player and he gives a goal kick - when do we get this ref - probably next week

I’m just assuming they’ll play a lot better against us but having watched them twice in a week, they look very short on ideas and confidence. Not a team. Also really don’t luke it up em. Don’t react well to pressure and not aggressive enough themselves

Weird game for us though, do we just play our own game and try blow them away or sit in and try break on them.
They look dodgy playing out from the back, defending set pieces and being hit on the break.

Take your pick as far as approaches are concerned, I want to see us cut out the unforced errors at the back regardless.

My only worry is the effing referee! They know we have 3 players on 4 yellows and as God made little apples the bloody ref will target them.

I couldn't see them losing 3 on the bounce if they lost tonight, good result for us. I've said for ages Ipswich were a 1 season wonder
I think it also helps us a little, because had Ipswich lost last night, the players would have got a right old rollicking and then would have been expected to put in extra effort to put things right against us .

That draw will now be seen as a little positive in some ways, as they seemed certain to lose the game and that was a last gasp effort that saved them. They will have now surely come out of the game a little more upbeat.

Isn’t game 19 where they all expire, or do they have to get through this game without another card?
That fucking ref last night, Oliver Langford was as bad as the wanker we had last Sat, David Webb, useless pair of cunts.

That bloke Waller Egerli was pretty decent on the left wing when he came on and scored the goal with his persistence - guarantee he plays the full 90 Saturday as some people are saying it was the Ipswich B team last night

He was lively in the first 30 mins v Oxford but they kept him very quiet after that.

They also look quite vulnerable to being overrun in midfield. I only caught the second half of last night but similar to Oxford when pressed Ipswich seem to lose / give the ball away needlessly in the middle of the park on several occasions.

Yeah they lost it at the back a fair few times too. Seemed to lack that instinct to go for goal as well, always checking back. Ashley Young looks like you could get something out of him too. They looked very beatable and were lucky to come away with a point. Of course it’ll be a different team Saturday I’d expect and as everyone does they’ll raise their game.

Will be interesting to see how EMC gets on against the now misnamed Ashley Young. He looked decent tonight but had no pressure on him.
Any idea why he was getting booed so much by the Blackburn fans? I only saw the last 20mins or so of the 1st half so I don't know if it was an 'in-game' thing but every touch he was getting stick from them. The only thing I could think of was the Man Utd connection but are Blackburn still hanging on to that 'rivalry' these days?

In terms of defence and at CM the only change last night was Young in for Furlong.

The same team we'll face is roughly from an attacking POV is the one put out against Oxford and to be honest it was a similar story to last night in terms of vulnerabilities. Very pedestrian and little end product.

Yep every side is going up a few levels against us it seems, and some already very good individuals in that Ipswich team will probably perform like prime Messi

They are the joint second top scorers so they are hardly toothless anyway tbf. We're just absolute freaks.

No idea at all. Nothing obvious to me from the game. He doesn’t seem the sort to usually invoke the wrath of opposition fans, so you may well be right.

I’m sure someone posted on here that he’s the last remaining player to have played at Highfield Rd. I hope that’s the case cos that’s what I told my son!

It isn't that they're toothless up front. They're just not scoring many for the amount of chances they normally get. It's as though none of them have the confidence or capability to take on shots. For instance they had nearly 3/4 possession against Hull yet Hull had more shots on target. Last night they had plenty of the ball yet only 2 shots on target and had to wait until there was only seconds to go in injury time to get the second one.

Maybe I've lost perspective on goalscoring this season but they've only got 30 goals in 18 games. Our GD is higher than that.
