It’s a good job I’m not then, because I’d be pretty well placed to do it on your arse.

The way the whole game imploded at the end was bizarre.

The fans were so hyped up it looked like there could have been a riot

No controversy for me here with the major moments, goal rightfully disallowed, of we had it removed we’d be pissed as well but its the right decision. Penalty another correct call again against us we’ll feel hard done by but correct call. Overall ref wasnt great though

Jeez Birmingham still have Lyndon Dykes in their squad. Your only as good as your weakest link. Hes the worst striker i ever seen at chanpionship level. Yes i know hes a scotland international.

Well he will be replaced by that Bundesliga German international striker they've signed I'd imagine.

Blues played as I thought they would do, high energy, feeding off the crowd and trying to force a mistake.

V much doubt they'll be able to keep that up, so glad we weren't playing them opening day.

Surprised Ipswich were that feeble though.

Ref wasn't strong enough. 8 mins injury was random, Blues didn't really time waste, did they?

Anywho, two points clear of them both tomo 😁

I know you shouldn’t judge a fanbase from just a couple of fans but my god Brum are up there with some of the worst knuckle draggers known to man.

Scum of the earth club, pretty much every interaction I’ve had over the years in various places with their fans hasn’t ended particularly well.

It’s made worse by the fact for some bizarre reason they actually think their a big club.

Insufferable yank owner suits them down to a tee, hopefully an 8th place finish this season drags them back down to reality.

Please just change the forum name to Blues Talk already. I don’t want to pretend it’s a Coventry forum anymore. Clearly most of our fans only want to talk about Birmingham. Let’s embrace it.

The accent doesn't help either Even when they're trying to be civil they sound like someone chucked a cheese grater down the stairs.

I'm sure their recent success and money has brought a good share of idiots in who weren't there when they were struggling. Some of the stalwart fans will be moaning about that goal celebration behaviour i'm sure. looking forward to catching up with some of my Blues colleagues next week to hear thier version of the game once the dust settles.
Lucky we've done it without the pomp with 30K up there tomorrow. Onwards and updated Sky Blues.

Is it me or does his sunnies drop just as he jumps in for a whack
Just like magic 😄
Looks like thier stewards are about as useless on as the ones at the CBS. Just let him step over the barrier in front of him. Good job he wasn't going to get stuck into a player or anything :rolleyes:

Poor game, Ipswich on that showing won’t be favourites for long, not impressed at all. Brum were poor too though I did like their Japanese player up front, he looked really good for 70 mins
Allsop in goal is weak and will make a lot of mistakes
All in all , the other teams in the league will be thinking both of those two are very beatable. We have nothing to fear from either

They will have Beadle in goal.

It was never going to be easy for any side to go there first game of the season. Look what our place is like when its rocking. They've fallen for the hype and many think they're unbeatable. But we will have to wait for a few games yet before we see how both sides settle down.

Good result for us. A win today puts us 2 points ahead of what could well be 2 of our main rivals. Our first 4 games are all winnable and would be nice to have a small gap going into September. Norwich H, Leicester A and Birmingham H will be a good test for us.
