We knew we had enough in the bank at home against both and given we knew from those two games down there both team's had a lot of assistance from the officials, guess he must have said don't spend negative energy, might have got another KC on the case.Neither of which we have managed to defeat this season either
That’s because we had the day off on SundayWe didn't look great on Sunday, but doesn't mean we haven't been over the season.
A fair point! That’s because we had the day off on Sunday
It was. Neither side deserved to win.A fair point!
I’m not surprised we didn’t look good on Sunday, we didn’t play. So?
You don't get your league position from one game.
We didn't look great on Sunday, but doesn't mean we haven't been over the season.
Took 100/1 on them last week. Down to 60/1 after beating Arsenal. Now down to 18/1 after their demolition of Wrexham. The 4/1 on them getting promoted was a giftSouthampton actually have the form to potentially sneak in the automatic promotion spots. Their GD is only 2 off Boro and 10 from Ipswich. Their run in looks good, full of teams who don’t really have much to play for. Derby and Blackburn at home should be Ws, Ipswich at home is favourable and a 6 pointer…
Since their lost in Jan, their record is 11-3-0 with 3 cup wins too. 6 points off with 5-6 games remaining and they must fancy it.
V unlikely but would be hilarious given the narrative we were bottling it...
Sunderland were second best against both us and Sheffield United. These things happen. Southampton were poor under Still and it took their new manager time to sort things out. They're now firing on all cylinders. They've beat 2 top 10 Prem sides including Prem favourites Arsenal. You can only beat who is in front of you. I can't see them losing until they play Manchester City. They have Ipswich at home 3 days later.Playoffs will be a complete reset, we were the ‘form team’ last season and we lost to Sunderland who’d effectively binned off half the season.
Southampton have had a massive push to get to this point, credit to them. They actually haven’t beaten any of the teams currently in the playoffs this season, losing 4 out of 6, their last losses: Hull and Boro.
Unfortunately for Millwall, they’ve not done too well against teams towards the bottom of the table. Their form all season has been patchy all year - their longest unbeaten run is only 5 games.
Didn’t realise Ipswich had so many away games left. They will have the chance to effectively end Boro’s auto challenge at home though.Took 100/1 on them last week. Down to 60/1 after beating Arsenal. Now down to 18/1 after their demolition of Wrexham. The 4/1 on them getting promoted was a gift

This weekend could change the table standings. Ipswich away to Norwich and Southampton at home to Derby. The 6 points lead and game in hand can soon disappear, especially as Ipswich have to go to their place. Ipswich only have 2 home games in their last 7. The 2 form teams are us and Southampton. It won't be long before they're second favourites for 2nd place.
Wrexham were top 6 until they got thrashed at home by Southampton last night. What's good about their run is it shows how good we really are. Our only defeat since we lost top spot for a single game was to Southampton and we were unlucky to lose.
Southampton haven't had an 'off' game for a few months since they got rid of Still and sorted out why they were so crap. The way we played at the beginning of the season when we were scoring for fun, and then the sudden slump, which did coincide with playing Ipswich twice in the space of a few weeks, and then our sudden rise again, has shown me this league is unpredictable and thank God we are nearly out of it.
I still fancy Millwall and Boro to get the second spot because Southampton and Ipswich will have a few off games as they have throughout the season. They will get kicked off the park against the Derbys and Portsmouths and all it needs is one or two bad games and their expectant fans will be on their backs.
Their Middlesbrough game is the start of 4 games in 9 days with then 3 away games on the bounce ending at Southampton. I know Ipswich are odds on for 2nd place, but they will deserve it if they get it.Didn’t realise Ipswich had so many away games left. They will have the chance to effectively end Boro’s auto challenge at home though.
Just a bizarre feeling to be able to watch all this with a double figure points lead at the top. As Martin Tyler once said, a moment to savour.Their Middlesbrough game is the start of 4 games in 9 days with then 3 away games on the bounce ending at Southampton. I know Ipswich are odds on for 2nd place, but they will deserve it if they get it.
These next few weeks are going to be brutal. As it stands now Middlesbrough will have to find their shooting boots against Ipswich to make things open at the top. I have my popcorn ready for the entertainment ahead
I looked at the fixtures coming up and Leicester might well be saved by Portsmonth's form and there next 4 games ie 3 points last 6 games ,Middlesboro and us away Ipswich and the big 1 for them April 18th at home to those six fingered shits down the 69.
I'll definitely be rooting for Portsmouth that day.
Portsmouth v Leicester on the 18th looks like winner takes all. Both have difficult games otherwise.I looked at the fixtures coming up and Leicester might well be saved by Portsmonth's form and there next 4 games ie 3 points last 6 games ,Middlesboro and us away Ipswich and the big 1 for them April 18th at home to those six fingered shits down the 69.

I've thought all along Oxford will get out of religation they are a tough side to beat. It’s not Portsmouth they need to be worrying about, both of them need to worry about Oxford who have some winnable games (Watford H, Wrexham H, Wednesday H)
