Piss poor defending from Millwall but Boro look honking at the back themselves.

What do we prefer today

Doesn’t make a massive amount of difference tbh. Millwall win means they can reach 90 and Boro 89, draw means Boro 90 and Millwall 88, Boro win means they could reach 92 and Millwall 87. Ideally not a Boro win but it doesn’t bother me.

In fairness , a millwall defeat strengthens automatic probability
Does it by much though? Where Millwall fall away we still have Ipswich in a better position than Millwall

Only takes one of those outside top 2 to fuck us over after all

It also means a decrease in title chances at same time

If much rather Millwall pick up a point here today

If we win then it doesn't really matter though and any result here is positive for us.

Yes it takes millwall out , it only brings boro closer for a title challenge really but theyve got to play ipswich

Point best ofcourse

Like most I would prefer a Millwall win or a draw but a ‘Boro win isn’t the end of the world, especially if we win tonight. It pretty much takes Millwall out of the reckoning to overtake us. We will still be 9 points ahead off ‘Boro and 14 ahead of Ipswich. Although Ipswich will have two games in hand, a 14 point gap will really pile the pressure on them.

We needn’t panic if we lose against Derby but I would be starting to get slightly concerned if we then lose to Hull. I don’t think we will lose both but this is football, so anything can happen. A 3 point gap to ‘Boro and 8 to Ipswich - if they both win on Monday - with Ipswich still having two games in hand would put a degree on pressure back on us and pressure can do funny things to players.

Keep our heads and we are going up 😊

Millwall need an extra man in midfield but the Boro defence looks as bad as always and can be got at by direct forward balls

Zak Sturge looks good for Millwall. Even against Ipswich he was very steady.

Bannon on for one of the Strikers? Gives them an extra man to match up against Boro and he will improve their set pieces and play mor of the direct balls Boro are shite at defending?

Middlesbrough are a level above Millwall. Quite a gulf between them in quality.
Hope they can improve but lucky to only be one down.

Just have to hope they can attack as weak point of Middlesbrough is their defence

The set pieces have been really poor, a mixture of indecisive faffing about and poor balls in. Bannan will help with both.

Ivanovic and Coburn have had nothing to work with up front anyway
