Thanks. I dunno why my brain was so fixed on 10 in a row.
Maybe preempting this season…
Are you tired after winning 25 home games in 33? I’m not…
It felt a bit surreal in the ground last night to be honest, Championship games really aren't supposed to be that comfortable. But it was played like a training session and the atmosphere was like a friendly-nothing like a typical game against PNE since we came back into this league. Are you tired after winning 25 home games in 33? I’m not…
Just remind him of the worst premier league side of all time (Derby 2007/08), their only win was against Newcastle!First time the geordie at work has said to me we are going up .. said hes looking forward to thumping us next season
Not sure wayay hes being like that tbh , Coventry 2-1 Newcastle
Was surprised Derby let him go - he seemed their main man when we last played them. They’ve upgraded their team since we played them. Adams has been immense for them.
This from chat gpt:I was sure we won 10 in a row last year! I must be going mad.
Nah, I was too tired to smash anything tbh. Long day at work followed by hospital visits, meant I only caught the last half hour of the match, which didn't improve the day any!Paging @Ipad Boro
Who do you fancy in the playoffs?Nah, I was too tired to smash anything tbh. Long day at work followed by hospital visits, meant I only caught the last half hour of the match, which didn't improve the day any!
It's a Typical Boro moment all over, we struggle against the low block anyway, but we're regretting not breaking the bank and throwing 12M plus on a ready made striker, probably from overseas.
Armstrong wasn't the answer though, goes missing for large chunks of the season.
Did you watch Carrick? So basically "Hellball" is Carrick with less shooting.
Carrick wins that game last night.
If we don't get autos, I'd like Millwall to get them, partly for the romance of it and partly because they're the most "low block" side remaining? We may have beaten them 3 nil in our first game, but I'd see frustrating encounters on a knife edge, entirely dependent on whether one of our 34 shots from trickier areas went in?Who do you fancy in the playoffs?
This from chat gpt:
- The club’s all-time longest league winning streak is 6 matches (achieved in 1954, 1964, and again recently in 2025).
- That means runs above 6 are very rare, and most modern streaks top out around 5–6 wins.
Give it a chance, it’s still learningIs something that’s never happened “very rare”?
I think you play good football but its all very swansea city when they came out the prem , a bit russell martinDid you watch Carrick?
We were famous for getting beat off the relegation haunted sides, think one season we took 1 solitary point from the 6 games against them home and awayThere's not a cat in hell's chance Carrick would have won that last night, we'd have had less shots and not made any subs until the 75th minute, keeping the starters out until they were dead on their feet?
This had more shades of "Typical Boro" which is a trait we have irrespective of who the manager is.
Tactics wise though, we should have mixed it up at half time, gone 3 at the back and used it our LB and RBs to push on and give us width as a low block is most effective against sides who like to play through the middle? Just my opinion anyway, I could be wrong.
I think it will get worse before it gets better too as we have king of the shithouserry and hoodoo extraordinaire side Bristol City up next...Our best chances of collecting 3 points in our remaining games are Ipswich away, Millwall at home and the Owls.
The rest of the games are in the lap of the Gods though, who knows?
Hopefully it will be enough, but right now you could toss a coin as far as I'm concerned, it's that tight.
Aside from the obvious financial windfall and getting better players in another reason we're dying to go up is that there stands to be very little in the way of low block sides in the Prem!
If we win Saturday, Coventry City will be referenced everytime someone asks the sameGive it a chance, it’s still learning

Btw i hope you are well , and the hospital trips are just the menatl scars of football over the years .Did you watch Carrick?

I know you’ll say ‘hoodoo’ but Bristol C are absolutely honking and look like they’ve given up on the season. Fully expecting you to do the business Saturday.Did you watch Carrick?

Looking at the extended highlights from their game, they really should have had a similar score to us (albeit Charlton were a lot more dogged than Preston)I think you play good football but its all very swansea city when they came out the prem , a bit russell martin
Really he has to find another way to win matches
Crowd definitely tired of winning
Crowd definitely tired of winning
People were leaving 15 mins from the end
We all have places to be lolTo be fair, late KO, midweek, game was in the bag. People gotta work and go to school Pete.
Had it been 0-0, they might have stayed.
Then we're in serious trouble then.If Boro can't beat Bristol City at home then they are in serious trouble.
It's Martinball but less threatening, genuinely fear for them that if they don't find a way to beat teams that low block them then it's the play offs for them and they could end up playing someone like Wrexham and getting smashed away in teh first leg.I think you play good football but its all very swansea city when they came out the prem , a bit russell martin

I am lucky I have a good boss who let me start work an hour and a half late last night otherwise I would have had to leave really early..Crowd definitely tired of winning

Many "fully expected" us to get a result against you, at the end of your worst run and our best.I know you’ll say ‘hoodoo’ but Bristol C are absolutely honking and look like they’ve given up on the season. Fully expecting you to do the business Saturday.
They gave Lesta their first clean sheet since September...Many "fully expected" us to get a result against you, at the end of your worst run and our best.
If there's any way on Earth for us to lose this game, we'll find it.
If the stars somehow align and we actually win this and break the hoodoo I think every Boro fan alive will believe we're going up
Thanks mate, it's appreciated.Btw i hope you are well , and the hospital trips are just the menatl scars of football over the years .
They are awful. I sent my down in the dumps Leicester supporting mate (apologies to fellow City fans) that they would comfortably beat Bristol City, whose defence is injury ravaged, and they look totally deflated at the moment. You'll beat them by a minimum of 2 goals. Many "fully expected" us to get a result against you, at the end of your worst run and our best.

All the best to her mate. Important to remember away from football rivalries we are all human, all with our own issues. Thanks mate, it's appreciated.
Other than the the exhaustion from it all though, I'm tiptop health wise. It's my other half that is where the worry lies as she isn't very well at all unfortunately.
Football is a welcome distraction though, even if the result last night was very unwelcome.
