I worked with a Norwich fan who didn't rate him in the PL. That said, he's had a few more years development in English football so it might be better next time. He managed 2 goals in 26 PL appearances, both in the same game. 11 goals in 70 in Bundesliga.
18-21 when he played in the Bundesliga to be fair, and only 21 in that Prem season.

He must have been very young at the time, been at Norwich a good few years now hasn't he?

If we’re selling Wright it’s good news for us that they are valuing him that high!

I guess so but Haji is 27 so older than him by a good few years. Haji as an investment is interesting as if he didn’t get injured and had a banging season last year he would potentially be in in big demand this summer. I can’t see anyone paying £20m for Wright. More £10-12m tops.

Think it’s a lot just due to his injury record. But he is a quality striker when fit. It’s a high price for a championship striker regardless but the last one who went for that much did okay
You can tell a lot of fans haven’t really cottoned on to just how inflated transfer fees are for Championship players nowadays.

A top end championship player is comfortably worth £15 million. An increasing amount of 2nd tier players do v well at Prem teams.

Knight head are in it for the long run at blues, bought the Birmingham wheels site with plans to build a 60k seater stadium on it. I don’t claim to know a lot about how PSR works but surely wouldn’t risk putting Birmingham into financial trouble?
Vehicle for a landgrab surely?

Wenger said building a new ground put Arsenal back years as they could no longer compete on transfers. 60k is peanuts for a ground these days. Most big projects go way over budget as well.
Many new grounds have put clubs in trouble. Ours did. Think the Madejski Stadium was a particularly classic example of owner screwing a club. Dodgy owners who lump all the debt on the club are particularly bad when it comes to new grounds.
Don't know anything about the Brum owners but 12% interest on loans seems they are in it for big profit in the long run.
I think Reading were fine, the stadium was a non issue untill Majedski sold the club.

Iirc he built it because they were on the cusp of the premier League, the season they moved in they got relegated to league 2 which I thought was Ironic.

Blues apparently signing Hwang on loan from Wolves
Fuming in the dingles help out the wankers with another loan. This would be their best signing if it came off, not seen anything suggesting its close though. I'm sure Wolves could sell him for a few quid if they wanted rather than loan him to the bin bag boys.

If that's true they will be close to FFP problems! Hwanki-chang must be on 40k pw or more. If they don't go up it will be a case of shit or bust if you ask me.
