Danny Rohl deciding to start pre-season at Sheffield Wednesday, after all.

Maybe they’re closed to being sold?

At the very least Chansiri is behaving like he is genuinely selling the club.

Under the current SCMP rules, League One sides can spend 60% of turnover on wages and transfer fees and League Two sides 50%, but 100% of any equity investment.

This was taken from the link you provided.

They can spend what they like in L1 and L2

I see Narwich have sold Borja Sainz for 14.5 mil to Porto - thought he was a good player but seems he was a bad influence in the dressing room

Seems he had to take a pay cut to join them and paid his own compensation clause.

Likely wasn't anywhere near their first choice either.

Big job on his hands. What a mess.

Think we’re ok for GK as KKH played there once at the park with friends. Milan will play right back.

Don't know why thought he was available IE: he was free as they'd got rid, right though big job.

Aaron Cresswell signs for Stoke

Not sure if he’s still got his legs, but still a decent signing for this level which will help their set piece routine.

West Brom fans going to have to get used to being a completely middling club at this level again. Truly humbled.

Every year their owner takes out a loan of around £20m from MSD Holdings which has an interest rate attached of around 10%-ish.

Financially they're a bit of a mess to be honest. They lost nearly £34m in the latest set of accounts.

Like Norwich a lesson in when the Yo-Yo just becomes a Yo ( although the new owners at Norwich seem to be splashing a bit of cash about)

Couldn't find the prem thread. But the three promoted teams really going for it this transfer window.

Wolves on the other hand not so good. Feel we may see a season where Leeds and Sunderland can stay up and Wolves, Brentford etc could be relegated.

Yeah funnily enough I just posted about Sunderland really giving it a crack, spending some serious coin, if we would have went up I can’t imagine we would have done the same

Championship wise, i can see Mark Robins's Stoke, and Eustace's Derby going on an upward trajectory.
Oxford, Hull and Preston to be strugglers.

Spending £100m on promotion to the Prem isn't going to go very far unless you already have a good side to start with. Sunderland were not that good to start with compared to Prem sides. For instance we were unlucky against them and so were Sheffield United.

Let's say they had 1 player good enough. £100m is only enough for 10m for 10 players. That's peanuts for the Prem. Leeds on the other hand have a bit of a chance surviving the first season but it won't be easy.

Wolves don't have a great side but they have an established Prem squad.

KKH underwhelming? Can't think of a single Championship signing for the fee paid that comes close to it.

The gap is so big though.

Wolves still have two midfielders that regularly start for Brazil, plus they’re going to spend some of the money they’ve got in.

Sunderland potentially got a couple of players in with real X Factor. That said, Adingra aside they’re spending a lot on players with no track record in English football, could work, but reliant on players settling and hitting the ground running. They’ve also been in bidding wars with Leeds for at least two players, so presuming they’re paying more than Leeds deemed worthwhile.

Burnley have evidently had to follow through with a few signings based on promotion, but I’m not sure they’re signing them otherwise. Look like they still need a lot of work.

Leeds need some quality, signed some big lads but think they still need a couple of improvements going forwards.
