He’s been allowed to spend an unlimited amount in every league he’s managed in, completely taking the piss with spending each time.Exactly.
He obviously spent it wisely. Plenty of teams have money and don't get promotedHe’s been allowed to spend an unlimited amount in every league he’s managed in, completely taking the piss with spending each time.
Congratulations to him
He's still done what's required of himHe’s been allowed to spend an unlimited amount in every league he’s managed in, completely taking the piss with spending each time.
Congratulations to him
£10 million on Nathan Broadhead, £6.5 million on Ben Sheaf. Cracking business. He obviously spent it wisely. Plenty of teams have money and don't get promoted
It's not his money£10 million on Nathan Broadhead, £6.5 million on Ben Sheaf. Cracking business.
ObviouslyIt's not his money
Regardless of the state of the game currently the owners wanted promotion and he's done it twice. I imagine survival or midtable was goal this season and he's gonna do that too.Obviously
Praising these clubs for taking the absolute piss and inflating fees and wages is part of the problem with football in this country.
Let’s see how he does without being given a fuck ton of cash is my point.Regardless of the state of the game currently the owners wanted promotion and he's done it twice. I imagine survival or midtable was goal this season and he's gonna do that too.
Done his job. No one is saying build a statue of him but he's clearly not a shit manager.
He got Colchester promoted to the Championship and took them deep into the FA Cup, exiting to Chelsea after leading at Stamford Bridge twice!Regardless of the state of the game currently the owners wanted promotion and he's done it twice. @Brighton Sky Blue there you go without moneyHe got Colchester promoted to the Championship and took them deep into the FA Cup, exiting to Chelsea after leading at Stamford Bridge twice!
Well he got unfancied Colchester to the Championship, got Bradford promoted and got them to a League Cup final at Wembley. Got Bolton promoted to the Championship and got Wrexham from non league to the Championship. He has a very good CV,Let’s see how he does without being given a fuck ton of cash is my point.
He find something to argue back with don't worry@Brighton Sky Blue there you go without money
I take it all back, he’s the next Mourinho@Brighton Sky Blue there you go without money
What are you on about. I worry sometimesI take it all back, he’s the next Mourinho
All I’ve pointed out is to get them up the pyramid he’s spent an absolute fortune. Even this season, £16.5 million alone on Broadhead and Sheaf. It’s not really comparable to Luton going from non league to the Prem on a fraction of the money. What are you on about. I worry sometimes
I very much doubt Mourinho would of achieved what Parkinson has done in the lower leagues. Don't really understand where you're coming from but go-ahead and stick another poo emoji on thisI take it all back, he’s the next Mourinho
What other manager was able to spend what he did in the lower leagues? Nobody, to my recollection.I very much doubt Mourinho would have achieved what Parkinson has done in the lower leagues. Don't really understand where you're coming from but go-ahead and stick another poo emoji on this
It’s a deflection tactic when @Brighton Sky Blue is proven wrong on something. Regular habit in the off topic threads. What are you on about. I worry sometimes
What deflection tactic and how have I been proven wrong? Thanks for the double tag anyway. It’s a deflection tactic when @Brighton Sky Blue is proven wrong on something. Regular habit in the off topic threads.
I to some extent agree with @Brighton Sky Blue on Parkinson in the sense that I don’t think PP is good enough to get Wrexham up. They’ve spent a lot of money and they’re not doing that well despite it, they’re 19th in xG table so they don’t strike me as a team that’ll finish in the playoffs over 46 games.
Your letting yourself down now. Don't try to change the conversationI take it all back, he’s the next Mourinho
They might not finish top 6 but they're certainly holding their ownIt’s a deflection tactic when @Brighton Sky Blue is proven wrong on something. Regular habit in the off topic threads.

Colchester Utd have never struck me as having Mega BucksWhat other manager was able to spend what he did in the lower leagues? Nobody, to my recollection.
Can’t even point out how much a manager spends without people getting upset these days.Your letting yourself down now. Don't try to change the conversation
You just know that the Birmingham owners would start calling to ban relegation if they ever go up to the PL.Just seen this. Typical American owners with no club about British sporting culture and the fact that you can't just merge two sporting institutions.
I don't personally have great faith he's the man to take them to the premier League but he was the man to do a big part of their journey and his c.v clearly shows he deserves respect as a managerThey might not finish top 6 but they're certainly holding there own
Once again your trying to change the argument. No one is denying they spent money. But you literally just said let's see how he does without money and it's been proven to you that he has done that with great success tooCan’t even point out how much a manager spends without people getting upset these days.
My feelings exactly, they may have to look for another manager to move forward, but whatever tools he was given he got them to where they are nowI don't personally have great faith he's the man to take them to the premier League but he was the man to do a big part of their journey and his c.v clearly shows he deserves respect as a manager
It's as simple as that and not sure how it can be argued agaisnt
I get that he should be talked about in the same breath as MR, might as well?I don't personally have great faith he's the man to take them to the premier League but he was the man to do a big part of their journey and his c.v clearly shows he deserves respect as a manager

I get I’m in a minority of people who have a problem with clubs like them doing what they do but stand by it. It’s bad for football.
Who saying they like him?The people who like Parkinson don't surprise me in the least.
The stuff at Bradford was a great story with memorable cup runs of course. My point was he wouldn’t have got Wrexham three in a row without this money. The truth is he barely got out of the Conference even with it.Once again your trying to change the argument. No one is denying they spent money. But you literally just said let's see how he does without money and it's been proven to you that he has done that with great success too
So can you now agree that Phil Parkinson is a good manager? Yes or no?
