Don't want to sound negative but it isn't unlikely...

However if & when we are promoted Mr King should arrange for every seat to have a We're BACK sign on every seat for the first home game in the Premier League. It would look effing good if the whole crowd could hold those up for the cameras.
He wasn't wrong, was he? Though I guess he didn't imagine it would be a generation later! Where is that gentleman now?

Not been following this thread, but just noticed that the difference between 4th and 17th in this league is only two wins.

Millwall in 4th on 8 wins, 4 draws, 5 defeats.

WBA in 17th on 6, 4, 7.

A 6 point gap sounds about right for this time of the season. We are just over one third of the way through (37%)
Last season Oxford finished 17th on 53 points, we were 5th on 69 points, a 16 point gap. (the gap to Sunderland in 4th was bigger at 23 points).
I remember seasons in the past where we were around 6 points off playoffs, but we never seemed to catch up.

Millwall are like an elephant up a tree. The fuck they doing in 4th still, they are absolute wank.
A joke for 7 year olds :)

Q: Why do elephants paint their toenails red.

A: To hide in the cherry trees!

Admit it you've never seen an elephant in a cherry tree, their camouflage works perfectly!

How long has this nonsense been going on for? Can't say I've ever noticed before (obvs). It's unfair I think, as it doesn't allow injuries to 'equalise' across a season.
The crux of it on the other hands suggests we’ve got a favourable last 10 games. Once January is over I think we’ve played the relegated teams twice - considering we’re better than the rest by a country mile once we get over that it should be plain sailing

The pack is unbelievably tight, worst case scenario, they could drop to 12th if they lose at the weekend.

The gap from 2nd to 15th is 6 points, and only a 3 point gap from 15th the playoffs.

Compared to last season, the gap from 6th to 15th was 7 points and 15 points from automatics after 17 games.

We’re 10 points clear because the chasing pack are comparatively tracking well below the usual run rate for automatics promotion. We’re only slightly better than last seasons Top 3.

We’re 10 points clear mainly because up until now there are 15+ well matched teams with very little to differentiate them on any given day.
