Empirically it hasn't been so far, this run of games now is very tough through to January so we'll see.Let’s hope that’s not us then
Wrexham will make the play offsWrexham have only lose 4 all season. Just lots of draws.
Ipswich now have 3 away games on the bounce before they play us. Hull, Oxford, Blackburn.
Unbeaten in 5 games against a team unbeaten in 6Ipswich are not finding their feet, they've just drew at home to Wrexham ffs
Agree. As today (and last night) has.shown, all the teams are capable of derailing the higher placed teams, which can only be good news for us. The 2nd place auto total spot is going to be way lower than usual, and there are likely to be a number of clubs bunched up chasing play off spots, resulting in a minimum of meaningless games during the tail end of the season. Today was a 'Carlsberg' set of results for us.Thing about this league is a lot of teams will have hot runs of form at various points, but they don't keep it going for long enough.
We have four very tough away games before Christmas. I'm reserving judgement on automatic promotion until the New Year but we'll have to completely bomb not to make the play offs.Empirically it hasn't been so far, this run of games now is very tough through to January so we'll see.

Every team has a surge an then drops off, it was QPR and Millwall up there not long agoUnbeaten in 5 games against a team unbeaten in 6
It's been the case for a while now that teams are seriously raising their game when they play us now, which we have to bear in mind when judging performances. I've sensed a good bit of complacency in our home games and hopefully today is a clear reminder that we have got to be on our game if we want to keep picking up victories. Once we were, I'd have backed us to win even against 11 men.Agree. We're not going to lower our standards I hope, how about a good month to absolutely smash the MOM award.1.66 points per game from here on out should be enough for promotion
Thats playoff form
I mean right now third place aren't even tracking at enough for 80 points over the whole season. From this point
14 wins 8 draws 8 defeats would have us on 87 points and probably promotion
Apparently their board are a bit touchy about criticism. Banning local media would definitely put them in 'cracked badge' territory...Listening to the Norwich phone in, their own commentators are calling for this Ben Knapper guy to be sacked
Symbolic points totalFrom this point

and Christmas in Ipswich. They’ve got a horrible December. Seven games, us twice Leicester and Stoke.
That's play off form over a season. It's still early but I think we will know in January whether automatic promotion is on. We have tough away fixtures over the next few weeks and we'll drop some points here. Home form is key but I do think this will hold up. Our fixtures from late March onwards look very favorable. From this point

I saw that Knapper had done a lot of podcasts and media interviews this week, almost certainly something he had been told to do.Apparently their board are a bit touchy about criticism. Banning local media would definitely put them in 'cracked badge' territory...
So many teams finding their feet now.
Brum, Ipswich, saints, Watford, Blackburn, and more.
Still a very long way to go but very grateful a) for our current lead at the top and b) our ability to grind out results!
Is it 14?We need about 16 wins. How many home games do we have left?

yeah think there's been an attempt to draw a line in the sand by belatedly getting rid of Manning, postponing the fan village/season ticket moves etc. To little too late though by the sound of it, things like selling Nunez to Ipswich have lost them the fanbase.I saw that Knapper had done a lot of podcasts and media interviews this week, almost certainly something he had been told to do.
The impression I get from a lot of their fans is they've been spoilt by the last 15 years and just aren't used to being in this league position. It's led to some properly ridiculous comments being made on the phone ins and podcasts. When the yo-yoing stops, it's really tough going.yeah think there's been an attempt to draw a line in the sand by belatedly getting rid of Manning, postponing the fan village/season ticket moves etc. To little too late though by the sound of it, things like selling Nunez to Ipswich have lost them the fanbase.
The American owner above Knapper is by his own admission pretty clueless about soccerball I think.
I put them in the same category as WBA for that. The impression I get from a lot of their fans is they've been spoilt by the last 15 years and just aren't used to being in this league position. Yeah West Brom very similar, and a club with a more impressive history than Norwich.I put them in the same category as WBA for that.
Will do them good to endure some tough times for a bit.
Even if we were to win 10 of the home games. It's very doable to get 5 wins on the roadI think it's 15.
And there are no 'free hits' like Leds and Burnley last season.
We will drop points, but we shouldn't expect to.
The concern with the parachute clubs should be real, as they have squads that will become more important as Winter bites, heavier pitches, injuries poor form and suspensions come into play. They can have what they want on paper. It's on the pitch that counts
None of those will be easy for them. Whether that works to our advantage or not though remains to be seen, wounded animals and all that.Ipswich now have 3 away games on the bounce before they play us. Hull, Oxford, Blackburn.
Exactly thisWe have won 9 of the last 10 games!!!!
Let that sink in, fuck the Ipswich/ Lesta Saints thing, none of them are good enough to overhaul us
This is our time, believe, this is the way.
