To be fair, I've watched the video and it looks good.

If will be an amazing stadium but as I've said from day one, you cannot suddenly grow a fan base by 30,000 and expect them to be loyal, working class and even local.

Birmingham fans are like the Millwall of the midlands. More worried about being 'proper' than success. This will leave all of this at St Andrews.

Trying to be the new Battersea Park

The difference is, Battersea is on prime land near Chelsea and the Thames. The structure was already built and thousands of people were ready to spend £1.5m on a two bed flat.

Wagner keeps talking about how the midlands is growing and yet Manchester is flying miles ahead of Birmingham.

In fairness the midlands does need a ‘big’ multi use stadium, so this may be it.

5 years they reckon - I think there will be a fair few design changes before it starts getting built. Less chimneys, not as big, smaller capacity.

Be like Cardiff City playing at the Millennium Stadium.

“Statement of intent for The West Midlands”

Guarentee that shit tip will do fuck all for The City of Coventry, amongst other areas - wish they’d fuck off with that rubbish
They are trying to position themselves as the dominant force of the West Midlands but its all just words, nothing about that club has ever justified the arrogance. The majority of the City supports Villa and for a second city team carrying the name of the city their historical support and achievements are garbage.

Definitely not. Even with the mega billions, those chimneys will cost an absolute fortune.

It will definitely be the 60,000 though and it will definitely be filled with premier League tourists.
Blues won't be in the Premier League if they keep pissing their funds away on the likes of Kyogo.

nah, if and it's a big if it is that size it's going to be half empty

the tourist will not come to birmingham city in enough numbers to fill 60k even if they do ever go up

It is definitely happening. I'm not sure why people are still saying this.
Sure, they’ll build a new stadium, certainly not one that’s 60k. The design concept looks like something out of a cartoon…

Their owners are charging 11% interest on money they loan the club, building a new stadium would cripple Birmingham City.

They’re not putting a spade in the ground unless they get promoted to Prem.

Imagine Birmingham vs Bournemouth on a Wednesday night in that white elephant.

Thing is the whole thing is so American that they'll care more about getting some NFL in there, in which case it has to be 60k i think. But i agree, if they don't get promoted this does not move forward.

Fucking hell does the Birmingham Local Plan specific all buildings must look like an abandoned factory or something?
