Boo I did have to work hard with chat gptWith home form like this, we’re not going to mess this up.
We’ve definitely loss 2 league at home though; Burnley and Leeds. 3 if we include Ipswich in the FA Cup.
Which is crazy. We’ve had some tough games at home too last season and this.24 games won 18 drew 4 lost 2
That’s mad so 58/72 wow24 games won 18 drew 4 lost 2
Not to mention we still have Swansea, Portsmouth, Oxford and Sheff Weds to come at home where I’d be very surprised if we didn’t win all 4.Which is crazy. We’ve had some tough games at home too last season and this.
I’m not that worried about dropping off from our current position when our home form has been this good under Lampard. We’ve got all the top half teams at home in 2026 and we’ve done the ‘hard bit’ of playing them away.
It’s one of the key reasons robins was changed another thing king prioritised and risked and Lampard delivered and some !!!Not to mention we still have Swansea, Portsmouth, Oxford and Sheff Weds to come at home where I’d be very surprised if we didn’t win all 4.
I noticed at Boro how he reacts to goals against he’s such a leaderGrimes has only lost 1 league home game he has started for us
Burnley? He played v Leeds but didn’t start. We draw that game if one of Collins or Kitching takes charges and hoofs the ball away.Grimes has only lost 1 league home game he has started for us
Home form is always key and no one could’ve had any complaints if won all 9 of our games. At home we don’t look like anything can set us back. Not to mention we still have Swansea, Portsmouth, Oxford and Sheff Weds to come at home where I’d be very surprised if we didn’t win all 4.
I would still prefer it if we didn’t keep conceding the first goal though, unless we’re doing it to set ourselves a challenge…Burnley? He played v Leeds but didn’t start. We draw that game if one of Collins or Kitching takes charges and hoofs the ball away.

Go 1 or 2 goals down? No problem. The Charlton fans didn’t know what was coming when they sung ‘Top of the league? You’re having a laff’…
One improvement Lampard has done from last season and under MR was that this team can win from losing positions. It was rare last season and under MR as a whole.
24 games won 18 drew 4 lost 2
That’s the season we were ‘comeback kings’ too.
Yes Burnley game. Leeds was his debut off the bench. That will be the key to staying up in the premier league. Sunderland's home form so far is great. Without that they would be struggling like the other 2.Burnley? He played v Leeds but didn’t start. We draw that game if one of Collins or Kitching takes charges and hoofs the ball away.

Conceding goals from set pieces is becoming an issue again…I would still prefer it if we didn’t keep conceding the first goal though, unless we’re doing it to set ourselves a challenge…
Im sure its Lampard taking the piss.I would still prefer it if we didn’t keep conceding the first goal though, unless we’re doing it to set ourselves a challenge…
Nope that’s all of them. They’re just poor quality goals by and large, really soft. The irony is that Rushworth keeps out the would-be screamers so I think if we are to concede it’s for when the defence doesn’t do its job.Conceding goals from set pieces is becoming an issue again…
Iirc, we’ve only conceded 7 goals from open play this season; 1 v Norwich, 1 v Pompey, 3 v Wrexham and 2 v WBA. Have I missed any more?
Really good pointNope that’s all of them. They’re just poor quality goals by and large, really soft. The irony is that Rushworth keeps out the would-be screamers so I think if we are to concede it’s for when the defence doesn’t do its job.
He’s only conceded one from outside the box all season I thinkReally good point
7 from open play suggests the defence is doing a ridiculously good job, set plays is more of a whole team defensive failure, although that might be what you meant.Nope that’s all of them. That is what I meant yes. By any measure overall it is doing a good job but isn’t infallible, no defence is.7 from open play suggests the defence is doing a ridiculously good job, set plays is more of a whole team defensive failure, although that might be what you meant.
Especially one of a team that’s scored 50 goalsThat is what I meant yes. By any measure overall it is doing a good job but isn’t infallible, no defence is.
