So with a game still to play, we're ahead on points on all bar Bolton who had 30 points after 13 games (we've still got 3 points available) and ahead of everyone on GF, with Man City being the highest on 32, were already on 34 with another game to go. Looking good so far against this.So the next 4 games take us to round 13. I'll list the 5 teams on Points, GF:GA, and league position.
I will list them in order of lowest scorers first, to highest points last.
Bolton
Fulham
Man City
Burnley
Leeds
I will then discuss what we need to do in our next group of games, points and goals wise, and what results we are likely to need to keep the pace with the pace setters.
So after 13 games, in each respective season, each team looked like this:
Bolton: Points 30, - 28:14. 1st
Fulham: Points 26, - 29:14. 2nd
Many City. Points 23, - 32:24. 6th
Burnley. Points 23, - 17:6. 4th
Leeds. Points 26, - 22:8. 2nd
Average points tally of 25.6 points. Median of 26.
Average GF also 25.6
Average GA is 13.2
So to be average amongst the group, 7 points from the next 4 games will keep us there or there abouts with these teams. 2 wins, 1 draw from 4 games.
In terms of GF, we're already well above the average with 4 games still to play.As longg as we dont concede more than 6 goals in the next 4 games, we should be well below the average for GA as welll.
In terms of being above average, to keep up with Boltons points, tally, we need 11 points from a possible 12. So, 4 wins from 4. Not as doable, but this certainly would see us way above average.

City? With 2 games left to play in the block, we're 5 goals and 4 points short of Fulhams total who were highest points and scorers after round 18.
We're already ahead of Leeds and City's points and only 1 point off the other 2.
Only City and Fulham can better our goals for by round 18 end.
Looking very good.

Boils my piss too. Coventry fans referring to another club as City.City?
At least he didn't say the Sky Blues!City?
Yeah, as the only "City" on the list, I didn't think I needed to specify which City it was!City?
We're the only City.Yeah, as the only "City" on the list, I didn't think I needed to specify which City it was!
Or were you confused and thought I was talking about Bolton City FC?

We're the only City.
I thought it was Wanderers anyway
Calling Birmingham 'Blues' is almost as vomit inducing, yet pretty much everyone on here seems to call them that.Yeah, as the only "City" on the list, I didn't think I needed to specify which City it was!

That’s fine. We are certainly not Blues. So not sure of the issueCalling Birmingham 'Blues' is almost as vomit inducing, yet pretty much everyone on here seems to call them that.

2It’s over-familiar. We're not Birmingham fans. What about all the other Blues?
We're not United either but I hate it when people refer to Manchester United as that too. What about all the other Uniteds?!
I'm perfectly happy to be in a minority of 1 on this issue.
What about Villa (do you call them their full name) Spurs etc Happy to be referred to as the Sky Blues by outsidersIt’s over-familiar. We're not Birmingham fans. What about all the other Blues?

Is it? It’s shorter and easier to say Blues than Birmingham. It’s also their nickname whereas I’m not aware of any others using ‘blues’ in the EFL.It’s over-familiar. We're not Birmingham fans. What about all the other Blues?

Villa and Spurs are literally the only teams known by those names so I will accept those. What about Villa (do you call them their full name) Spurs etc Happy to be referred to as the Sky Blues by outsiders
Chelsea are Blues. Villa and Spurs are shortened versions of their full names and the only teams known by those shortened terms. Is it? It’s shorter and easier to say Blues than Birmingham. It’s also their nickname whereas I’m not aware of any others using ‘blues’ in the EFL.
I can. Tottenham Hotspur ‘Spurs’, WBA ‘Baggies’, Aston Villa ‘Villa’ as well as calling Birmingham ‘Blues’. It’s not over familiarity but when typing or speaking, it’s easier.
So long as they don't forget the "Mighty" prefix. What about Villa (do you call them their full name) Spurs etc Happy to be referred to as the Sky Blues by outsiders
We usually do better in the second half of the season at that rate that 108 is a bit low. We’re currently on track for:
127 goals scored
46 goals against
108 points
Well well well! Who'd of thought it possible? We're 2 points better off than Fulhams best and 2 goals better too! Fantastic! And 50 goals up with less half the season played. Another 58 goals to beat Man City's record. Thats 2.2 goals per game.Round 18 next then! Let's see where everyone else was at that point, what points they had, what GD they had, and what likely outcome we are likely to need to keep pace again with them.
Bolton: Pts 38, 38:23. 1st
Fulham: Pts 41, 48:15. 1st
Man City: Pts 33, 45:28. 3rd
Burnley: Pts 38, 23:6. 2nd
Leeds: Pts 35, 31:13. 3rd
Average points total of 37.
Average goals for of 37.
Average goals against of 17.
So to be above Fulhams points total of 41 we need to be looking at 13points from a possible 15 available. 4 wins and 1 draw with no losses!
To keep up with the average of 37 we need 9 points. 3 wins 2 losses? Or 2 wins and 3 draws?
For goals for, to be top of the pile we need 48 goals. So 12 more than we currently have.
We're already on 36 so the average of 37 is achievable.... Just about
Though I think 4 wins and 1 draw is a very tough ask, especially considering the teams we're facing, I do think to keep up with average points total is very achievable. 2 wins and 3 draws. Let's smash it! If we can end the round with 37 points, when considering Burnley and Leeds had 38 and 35 at the same stage last season and both went on to 100points, is a very, very good return! And achievable.

My mates a Man City fan and he refers to them as City or the Sky Blues because he knows it annoys the fuck out of me. I'm triggered just thinking about it.
Just wondering? Do you react when commentators refer to Man City as Sky Blues. It happens occasionally. That makes my blood boil.Chelsea are Blues. Villa and Spurs are shortened versions of their full names and the only teams known by those shortened terms.
WBA - Baggies, too familiar. Vomit inducing.
More than you could ever possibly imagine, my friend!Just wondering? Do you react when commentators refer to Man City as Sky Blues. It happens occasionally. That makes my blood boil.
Edit: Ha, didn’t scroll down the list before posting…..Hope that’s not wound anyone up?
