Got to give it to Rooney and Derby giving it a real good fight with odds staked against them.

People that refuse to believe Rooney is doing a decent job there must just have a grudge against the guy.

Just announced 24k at Derby. Looks nowhere near that on the screen. Loads and loads of empty seats.

Every point Derby take off anyone is a bonus especially the cheating baggies - see their long thrower has a towel on each side - shouldn’t be s as loud

If I was a Derby fan I would be getting that towel and throwing it in the back of the stand.

Sky going on about the "Turkish international"

It's allowed but must be available to both teams. Can't remember who started the practise (Google says Stoke) but they were told to share or stop using it when they refused to allow their opponents the use of the same towel.

Firstly ... who ???

I'm more pissed off at how many times games involving Bournemouth, Fulham and WBA have been televised already this season. Recently relegated and with parachute payments. Sure, they definitely need the extra TV money Weren't the games supposed to be shared equally between teams in the league ?

Loss to West Brom looks a shit result given how they’ve been playing recently and the results they’ve gotten.

We had many poor results really and we're down to 10th now. For whatever reasons people kind of wanted to turn a blind eye.

The league is not strong this season and we've had many opportunities we haven't taken.

Considering his goal return is pretty poor, Colin has had quite a travelled career. Some ridiculous teams on that list.

Looked a shit result on the day. Far from the best team we’ve played, easily the biggest time wasters and that is some feat in this league. Just we were naive and gave them far too much unnecessary respect.

Christmas didnt go to plan?
Disagree, we have beaten Forest, Fulham, Boro, drawn at Blackburn, Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Huddersfield. we are competitive and that is all we can ask of our team. Level the playing field and the cream will rise to the top as Boro and others are showing.
We have had the last two games postponed, out of our hands and we are in the mix, we are not going to play well in every game and in this league that is a lesson that all teams are learning.
I believe we will end up about where we are but would also say we have had a great first half to the season, much better than anybody on here reckoned.

That's a silly turn of phrase as what people reckoned before the start of the season and where things are now aren't really comparable. Seasons are dynamic.

From where we were beating Fulham 4-1 on October 2nd, we have won only two games out of 11 since.

That's appalling.

The mighty West Brom have failed to score at Barnsley and Derby, and hadn't won for 3 games before encountering us with the genius idea of Dabo at CB and a barely fit Hamer in the middle. Though we could also look at the games against Birmingham and Huddersfield, both teams let off the hook despite playing terribly in both. Derby and PNE were both chucked away from winning positions on top of that. It's looked a lot more like last season's fare.

As a counterbalance there have definitely been points hard fought for on the road and a comeback to remember against a piss poor Bristol. In general though, we've been playing with nothing like the intensity and tempo of the first 11 games and the squad is in real need of some extra help with the thin depth in quality across most of the squad. Robins by his admission has made a series of mistakes in this run of games. Carry on as we currently are and of course we'll be safe but considering how many opportunities we've had and how well we know we can play it would have to be extremely disappointing.

Then you add in the open secret that we're just extending contracts instead of trying to strengthen the squad and we'll be 'doing a Barnsley' minus the making the top 6 part.

If we draw every game from now until the end of the season (which to be fair is looking highly likely) we may not just make the play offs but go up automatically (maybe even as champions!)
It was noted a few weeks back (possibly on this very thread) but it needs reiterating - What an incredibly piss poor division this is.

I think most teams can say 'if only' unless you are a Man City or Liverpool. West Brom today, Bournemouth (at home to us), Blackburn (at home to us). I've rarely had so much entertainment from us as in this season - think the lack of recent games (and seeing teams inevitably sneaking above us) has affected the mindset of how well we've done. Beat Millwall and we're right back in it (just hope the pests haven't ruined the pitch)

Middlesborough and Huddersfield both have 2 difficult away games coming up.
Middlesborough play Blackpool and Sheff U, Huddersfield play Forest and Blackburn.
A good opportunity for us to get back in the top 6 with games in hand providing the games go ahead.

What has that got to do with the fact we've won 2 of our 11 games previously?

Other teams currently in the top 6, and among the favourites for promotion.
Bournemouth have won 3 of their last 10
West Brom have won 3 of their last 10

Over the last 6 games
Bournemouth have won 1 and lost 2. Before last night hadn't won in 6 games
Fulham have won 1 and lost 1 (same as us). They haven't won in the last 5 games
West Brom have won 2 and lost 1
So it's not just us who are getting poor results at the moment. Most if not all teams will have a bad run of results at some point during the season.

Remember his wife was in a serious car crash, dog killed in the accident - so people should be mindful when jumping on anybody's case. Peace and love to all xx

Stating that our form isn´t very good has nothing to do with my Christmas. It is just fact.

Wouldn´t it be nice to get a win tomorrow?
