Think you can still join if you want to, just can't go to the meetings unless traveling

I think the Leamington one you can just sign up at any event. Don't think its a situation where you try and go to something and they won't let you in.

So if the idea is CCFC Supporters Club, the supporters club to end all supporters clubs or just to oust the trust? How about creating leadership of this supergroup with representatives from all CCFC Supporters clubs where feasable, proper supporters clubs representing the voice of the fans the way the trust should be but are not.

I think there's quite a lot of regional Supporters groups, you'll have to check around for your area if within UK. For instance the Dunchurch Supporters group who donated £3,600 to the ticket fund.

Outside of the UK I'm not sure but I would have thought they exist

Sky Blues international is now together with the London Supporters Club.

Something to move the trust to one side

After a few weeks hard graft in the background by a team of dedicated fans , there will be the first set up meeting of the CCFC supporters club Coventry Branch .

It will be run along the same type of format as the Leam&Warks one. Thanks Juggy for letting me bend your ear

Mission Statement

1,Support the manager and players of Coventry City FC – this includes creating a closer bond between Coventry based supporters and the manager and players.

2. Arrange social events, including travel, for Coventry based supporters

3, Raise funds for local charities and to support initiatives in association with the manager/players at Coventry City FC.

4,Support the fans in achieving the best match day experience possible.

5, No politics !

After tonights meeting we will arrange a sign up night in our Cov City Centre Venue, where board members / volunteers can be discussed and it will also be attended by Mark Robins .

The Trust has a legal status, it's not as simple as building your own one with blackjack and hookers I’m afraid.

Great idea this though. I’d probably sign up. The Leamington one always seems to do good stuff.

Didn’t the “official” Coventry City supporters club used to be in Freehold St in Hillfields?
Like to know what happened regarding that-did it die when we left HR for the Ricoh?

What the fuck is it with smart arses on here? I'm a Cov fan from Cov, who still visits from time to time. Why wouldn't I want to join? I am a member of the international/London supporters group too. Is there a problem being part of both?

I really want to join the Bedworth & Nuneaton Supporters Club. But I refuse until they rename it Nuneaton & Bedworth Supporters Club.

It's like saying Onion & Cheese crisps. Just wrong.

unlikely to rename as it was formed and is based in Bedworth. You must know how much people from Bedworth like being part of Nuneaton :hilarious::happy:

A legal status - as in formed under a remote Act that no longer is used, now Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014
Used to be very popular with working men's clubs in years past

It is quite possible to form an up to date equivalent with a "legal status" and be no different to "the Trust"

The "Trust" bit is actually a misnomer and is not a trust per se. The proper company name is The Sky Blue Supporters Initiative Limited

It will be interesting to read this years Annual Return and accounts and wonder if they can be presented to members before the AGM

For those interested copies of previous years are on the following link Mutuals Public Register: Sky Blue Supporters Initiative Limited

If the Trust converted to a social club and sold cheap beer then it's nearly as good as hookers and blackjack.

You’ve misunderstood my point.

I can’t recall the exact details but there are restrictions around what is the “official” supporters trust for a football club and that supporters trust has certain rights and responsibilities. It was explained to me but as I say I’ve forgotten the details, CJ or someone might be able to fill you in. They’re recognised by Supporters Direct for example.

This is why when they wanted to resurrect it they had to get Nat whatshername involved as there was already a dormant supporters trust and they couldn’t just make their own one.

I know I’ve hit a nerve with you but this isn’t a partisan point.

What was her surname NW ? Last time I heard about her, she was in relationship with HarrogateSkyBlue but that was a long time ago.
