Let me know when you find a link of the club stating that he had scouts watching him!

Will Coventry Live satisfy you

Coventry City rookie a 'potential target' for Europa League outfit

The latest Coventry City news from CoventryLive as this young forward has captured the attention of a Belgian top flight club

Or perhaps you'd prefer it if I e-mail Frank personally on your behalf.

If it’s going to stop you posting the same CovTel link that doesn’t cite the club, then yes please do email him and let me know

You appear to have the media literacy of an 8 year-old

Wasn’t it Lampard who moved him on at Everton?

I think Lampard loaned Simms out when he was manager at Everton

Having had some time to reflect on the season , I have had a slight change of heart with ellis .

He had a poor season and really hasn't been at all excellent since hes been here , however I think if we decided to keep him I wouldnt be overly bothered because hes probably the sort of player to go elsewhere and do well .

Much of his game is not where it should be but with time and some extra work at Ryton maybe we can get something more from him .

Maybe this is his year who knows , I trust lampards judgement on the player so if he stays or goes whatever .. new season new start

I wouldnt be against the club signing a new striker though either

he'll score goals if he does go. You can criticise the rest of his game, but one thing he does do is score goals. >0.4xG per game across his career, is 1 goal every 2 and bit games. This is the 1st season where his finishing has let him down, only Adebayo had a worse conversion rate in the Championship.

The coaching staff will have a full pre-season to try and sort Simms out, I hope he comes good, it could be his Last Chance Saloon, as they say.

Always liked Simms as a player, but if we're not going to play to his strengths then there's no point in him staying on. He's not a target man, or link player. He's a CF that needs the ball played ahead of him, and is probably more effective with a partner. BTA and Simms were doing a good job from Nov-Feb last season before Haji came back.
I do wonder had Simms started both games against Sunderland in instead of Wright would the results have been different....

Simms is at his best when he's driving at players. He's quick for a big man, and strong when he's moving forward. His passing and touch are not his strong points. His finishing is also very good. He's not missed many guilt edged chances over his 2 seasons here.

I'd have Simms over Wright, BTA and Bessette, if clean through on goal in the last minute of a big game though.

I'd rather have Wright but each to his own.

I wouldn't even have Simms on the pitch in a big game.

Like Frank left him out of both play off games.

I reakon If Wright couldn't score, there's no chance Simms would of.
Unfortunately I think we're stuck with Simms till the end of hls contract.

Wright's the only one I'd expect to score in that situation.
