Will Coventry Live satisfy you

Or perhaps you'd prefer it if I e-mail Frank personally on your behalf.
If it’s going to stop you posting the same CovTel link that doesn’t cite the club, then yes please do email him and let me know

You appear to have the media literacy of an 8 year-old

Having had some time to reflect on the season , I have had a slight change of heart with ellis .

He had a poor season and really hasn't been at all excellent since hes been here , however I think if we decided to keep him I wouldnt be overly bothered because hes probably the sort of player to go elsewhere and do well .

Much of his game is not where it should be but with time and some extra work at Ryton maybe we can get something more from him .

Maybe this is his year who knows , I trust lampards judgement on the player so if he stays or goes whatever .. new season new start

I wouldnt be against the club signing a new striker though either

he'll score goals if he does go. You can criticise the rest of his game, but one thing he does do is score goals. >0.4xG per game across his career, is 1 goal every 2 and bit games. This is the 1st season where his finishing has let him down, only Adebayo had a worse conversion rate in the Championship.

The coaching staff will have a full pre-season to try and sort Simms out, I hope he comes good, it could be his Last Chance Saloon, as they say. 🧐

Always liked Simms as a player, but if we're not going to play to his strengths then there's no point in him staying on. He's not a target man, or link player. He's a CF that needs the ball played ahead of him, and is probably more effective with a partner. BTA and Simms were doing a good job from Nov-Feb last season before Haji came back.
I do wonder had Simms started both games against Sunderland in instead of Wright would the results have been different....

The first game in particular when we put Thomas-Asante up front and whipped balls in all game

Simms is at his best when he's driving at players. He's quick for a big man, and strong when he's moving forward. His passing and touch are not his strong points. His finishing is also very good. He's not missed many guilt edged chances over his 2 seasons here.

About 5 posts above this it states he had the second worst conversion rate in the entire division
