Always seemed like a decent bloke who got his team playing in a pleasant manner (he succeeded Wilder). Don’t think his team ever beat us….

Still stand by the assertion that I’ve never met a Boro fan who was a dickhead. I know that there must be some but they’ve always seemed reasonably friendly to away fans up there and realistic abt their own status and expectations in a region where their nearest neighbours don’t always follow suit.

Completely agree. If there was a Reddit table of Championship teams ranked by internet/real life dickhead fans, every chance they'd be last.

Watched a few Boro games on the stick in the race for the play-offs, via their own Channel. The commentators were very critical of the way he had them playing and how inept they were. The crowd were losing patience with him as well.

I rated him as a player and like the way he handles himself as a manager. Im sure he will get another go somewhere else and he maybe could go to a club where expectation is lower. I think his only negative is he comes across very calm and could look like he lacks passion. Im sure he is ultra competitive and demands high standards but keeps it very internal.

Agree with talk that they’re a decent club and he’s a good guy. Is Mowbray going back there? Surely not.

Assuaged slightly by the fact that we have always got a result against them recently, when it matters.

Appointing Mowbray would be a blunder. Carrick was going to get the sack if they didn’t make the playoffs because they’ve had a lot of investment and have been going backwards from his fantastic start.

No surprise as he has just failed to get it over the line two seasons on the trot and unfortunately that is the way football is.

A good manager and seems a decent guy. I don't think he will be out of work long.
