I’m amazed that people can’t remember how bad Wilson was in the play-offs. Dovin didn’t really do anything wrong at the start of last season either so Robins’ chopping and changing didn’t really help. Rushworth will hopefully be very good for us so let’s keep him in the team and let him grow.

I reckon he’ll end up being our number 1 all season.

I don’t think there’s any doubt that at the very least he’s a bog-standard/replacement level keeper, which is more than we could say for our GKs for most of the last few seasons. And it’s quite likely there’s more to come from him too. Would it have been good value at £5.5 million, probably not, but for a loan signing I think he’s well worth it.

Someone (think it was @HuckerbyDublinWhelan) floated the idea that he lacks concentration. Looked back and when he was at Swansea he was facing an average of 5 shots per match - until today that was 2 per match with us. It’s a slightly different skillset dependent on how busy you are and my gut feel is that he probably does struggle with concentration but there was enough coming at him today to keep him engaged.

I mentioned that same thing after the QPR game, must be difficult to maintain concentration when you've been a spectator

Yeah - was me. I was impressed with him today, first time I’ve seen a goalkeeper that is what we need. Wasn’t just the saves - he seemed more commanding

I’m hoping that this is what he needed to get going. Will be interesting to see whether he reverts back to type when we face lesser opponents. Next week is a real banana skin and we’re going to need our keeper and attacking players to be on their game

Its for 90 minutes! Its not like he's being asked to stand at deep extra cover for 5 days!

Feel like that one will sail over most people's heads! Deep midwicket preferred for me personally..

Anyone who’s knows about football and goalkeepers can see he’s a good keeper, how often did you see Collins or Wilson come for crosses and I think he would of been worth the 5 million we offered for him as he’s going to be a good keeper and will prove a lot of people wrong, you can see the centre half’s are a lot more comfortable with him behind them.
