He didn't make a mistake at the weekend
he faced one shot on target, He didn't make one against Hull, he didn't have anything to do - i said earlier in the thread, bizarrely i defended him because a guy behind me said he should have saved it.

I have no confidence in him whatsoever when the pressure is on. Leicester for instance will get more than one chance on saturday. He needs to be switched on, QPR showed he lacks concentration, luckily we were 7-0 up.

Like i said, hopefully he has an equally quiet day, as cleansheets will do him the world of good confidence-wise, and then maybe we'll see whether he's actually any good.

So your criticism and concern is that he's had nothing to do

well lets give him time to settle with his defence. in reality I wouldnt say hes cost us a result in the league yet
He's cost us 2 points against Oxford, and luckily we scored 5 against Derby and 7 against QPR. As good as we are attacking its not something i'd bank on doing every game.

like you said - lets hope he settles, With Woolfenden - lets hope and assume he's a better defender than Thomas and Kitching. It will also help him out.

The wall for the oxford goal was pathetic so I wouldnt really blame them not standing up tbh

The setting up of the wall at Oxford was not his fault. The ball was moved after he set the wall up,the wall should have moved as well.
Or they should have walked up to the ball and complained to the referee.
And Thomas turned his back as the player went to shoot, which is something he does on a regular basis.

Not a mistake - should have done better. Which is what i see Wilson as. He doesn't make mistakes. Wilson Should do better with some. Case and point Millwalls first goal in the cup. Shouldn't be beaten at the near post
Some times keepers are beaten at the near post by a good shot. Think it's a bit of a cliche that keepers should never be beaten at their near post.

Definitely not at fault for the actual goal, but the ball he spilt that was cleared for the throw in which they did score from, he definitely should have held onto and then we wouldn't even be discussing it.

depends on how he recovers from mistakes. make a mistake in a crucial match and you get labelled - it sticks with you in football. I'd love for him to have a stormer on saturday and reverse his fortunes.
Can just imagine Brian Clough looking down shouting 'Jigsaw! When the ball goes into the box, you go to pieces!'

I'd agree with this. He an england U21, theres obviously potential. But We need a goalkeeper now - now after 3 years of development.
James Beadle is an England under 21! And he's dreadful! So many players play for England Under teams that never make the cut to ever play in the PL or England senior team.

That's like saying a player is good because he plays for Chelsea/Man City academy's. When in reality, both academy's are scatter gun approach where they have the money to sign anyone who can kick a ball, in the hope they get 1 or 2 calss players out of 800.

Second worst in the championship on save % so far. Only behind QPRs keeper, who conceded 7 in 1 game!

When your GK is in the same line up as Ryan Allsop, you know its bad!

We've played five games.
Well that's ok then! No probs at all! All errors are exempt because "we've only played 5 games"!

He gets a lot of passes. Hes new, he's not played in a long while for injury, he was Swansea POTS, and, more importantly, were not losing games! Take all of that away though, he's been no better or worse than Wilson! And the stats in that video show that! Conceded 50% of all shots on target! Thats awful! Had we not of scored as many as we have, and were losing games rather than drawing, he'd be getting absolute dogs abuse! As it stands, the strikers are saving him from criticism.

Let's be brutally honest, from what we've seen of him so far, he's no better than Wilson.

The warning signs were there in pre-season, but they were ignored as "over confidence" but now its hard to ignore the fact that he doesn't actually save very many efforts on goal, and cant organise his defence or command his area. Unfortunately the stats dont lie.

Is he still adapting to being a no1? Is it still early days ? Can he become the keeper we thought we were getting?
And would we spend £5.5million on him now? There's far more questions than answers so far.

To be honest its getting harder to justify him starting, and he's only first choice because Wilson was considered not good enough.
We certainly need Dovin back ASAP.

Watch him get M.O.M today 🤞
