Is a liability,slows play down and constantly moans and waggles his twig arms after making a mistake.
This 'man' should not be captain of our club....what 31 year old would advertise the fact he is attending Jumping Jacks to his 'followers' on facebook?
He is too bothered about his image, rather than his performance. He is the only player i ever see moaning, blaming the pitch and barking at the younger players.
We would be stronger without him. Get off your mantle Carl, start playing.

He's been poor this season but lets not forget how good he was last season

A spell on the bench could be good for him

He over achieved for 6 months, now he thinks he is special. I DESPISE the way he sulks on the football pitch, he is meant to be that CAPTAIN.
Sell the clown and replace him.

No, the only player to get suspended, constantly gives the ball away and moans moans moans.
Get rid i say.......He would never be a captain at any other level, its bizarre he still is.

anybody who has played the game to any standard will realise he is poor anywhere except in the attacking areas
and this season he has not even done that

the amount of times he dives in and misses, leaving his man in space, is fucking crazy!

My friend pointed it out when i was at his house....does that explain it? I refuse to use facebook.

It was no coincidence that his goal scoring dropped off the cliff soon as DMc left the club. My impression from last season was it was DM who created lots of chances, and helped Baker score. Without him, he is living on the back of a decent season where DM cut a swathe through the opposition. Never bought into the Baker hype, and he was badly exposed today. Needs to do something and fast

Thats why Bakes is still here and not playing at a higher standard, loses possesion far too often, gives away fouls far too often picking up needless bookings, can't argue with the goals scored and his commiment but overall I am not a fan, from his media appearances I assumed he was much younger, not captain material, I stated on here last Season Woody should have had the armband, I really don't get why 99% of people think he's a lot better then he really is !


I was shocked last week when he was subbed, he wasnt playing any worse than he usually does, I was equally shocked Trevor Kettle didnt send anyone off :thinking about:

This time last season, I'm sure he only had 1 or 2 goals, just give him time, one or two bad games is something anyone can have.

Wonder if OP was the guy behind me during the match. All match: "bakers shit" "I hate baker" "fucking baker" "stop being so greedy baker" then "should get Manset on". As soon as Manset misses a shot when brought on: "fuck off back to France or where ever you came from Manset. You're shit".

Hilarious.

The brute honesty of it all was that yesterday Baker was our worst player everyone in the ground could see it, however one game doesn't mean Carl is a bad player and I still have faith that he is the right man to wear the arm band.

A spell on the bench might not be such a bad thing for him.

I thought we didn't use the width as well as we might - Cyrus seemed a bit more subdued in the second half, though there were a few hospital balls played to him. Thought Blair Adams crossing was average at best and we seemed to be more sloppy in the second half as they presses us. Thought Micky Adams was spot on when he said it was like a training game for City in first half, when they struggled to get hold of us, and I wasn't worried as I thought P Vale looked sh*te, (Pope aside). Second half, they upped it 20% and we dropped 20%. Carl Baker - average game, but saw enough in first half to stay positive (still worried Sheff Utd, Bolton, Bristol City will be looking at SP over the next week or two). PUSB
