....Its a bit of a nightmare, but at the end of the day, all merchant accounts are run by banks & the security restrictions have to be so tight in an attempt to avoid fraud.
I signed up for paypal business @ £20 per month, but binned the full merchant account as the PCI compliance questionnaire alone did my head in....
I now just use the paypal virtual terminal, meaning I can take card payments over the phone or email customers paypal invoices, but cannot sell product directly from my site.

Not sure if its the right thing but we use www.worldpay.com. Hope this helps???
