Old Brucie was knighted today and i got to thinking about all the 'catch phrases' down the years of various managers we have had.
Boy were there some good uns as they say!
Can anyone remember any?

Who kept saying: "they put in a good shift" for example?

Perhaps just some of the crazy comments they use to make? I remember a certain manager always talking in the third person.

What was it the wee man use to say on camera "i can't fault them"

Boy have we been mugged down the years!

Not so much catchphrases but cringeworthy quotes :

Coleman - our performance was a bit milky.

Milky? Wtf?

Dowie - bouncebackability. Thats not even a word Ian.

Boothroyd - we dont play the long ball, we play the right ball. Yea ok Aidy.

Thorne - we will get back on it. When?

Y'know, thanks to Dowie, I'm sure it now is-it was recently admitted to the Oxford English Dictionary!

Thorn-"We're better than that". After any bad performance.

Also used in the single person when castigating players, eg to Ruffles in preseason after a crap cross:
"Oi...OI! You're better than that."

Dowie when playing people out of position: "I think that's his position".

Usually applied to Osbourne at RB, but also any striker when used on the wing (Simpson, Mackenzie, Miffy, etc)
