So Hoffman's meeting with his investors has been called off....
It's not unusual for meetings like this to be re-scheduled.
There are many people involved that will have to be there.

It's a pity in the short term as we the fans consider it is getting us no where but the fact remains a meeting WILL take place.

SISU have made clear there are some funds for one or two new faces and they are working away at achieving those targets.
Thorns veiled threat that he needs 'help' will not have gone unnoticed by the board and they need to speed through there actions.

SISU recently made clear they will ensure the club is funded for this season at the very least and that would of course be with the full knowledge that a football club would need to have some ability to purchase new players.

I'm not a fan of SISU but lets not have them hung drawn and quartered quite yet.
The telegraph suggest we can't bring in anyone unless Brum buy Turner. That's preposterous. If we can persuade a premier league club to give us a loanee who needs first team football and they cover the majority of his wages then he will be brought in. Rumours circulating are Ewbanks-Blake and the like are being sort.

Before we get too carried away and think we are the worst side in this league after playing one game in it, we need to enjoy watching how Thorn develops his side over the next 7 or 8 games. Judge the situation then as I don't beleive we are anywhere near as bad as some of you on here are insistent on.

I keep looking at the 'dead wood' we got off the books and the only significant loss was King and Gunnarsson who have not been replaced. The latter arguably less effective than a 17 year old we now have and the former who failed to hit the score sheet in the last few games when the Juke did. As for Westwood he was suitable replaced. So a couple of players back from injury such as Turner and Deagan will be a huge plus and feel like new arrivals and with the possible addition of that loanee or even a purchase of a Le fondre type will put us at least equal to where we finished the season playing strong football and winning games!

Does anyone know whether deegan's and turners injury is serious or only short term, fustrating hearing that all these players are getting injured, i mean its just ridiculous, especially when it happens at times when we dont need bad news. Typical, should have seen it coming!
