Midtable is literally a mediocre Championship team 😆
People will argue about anything. Hardly flying until an injury ravaged CCFC came to town were they.
Moore was on a piss poor run of form until he was given the freedom of North Wales to do what he wanted. You know exactly what their game plan's going to be, they did it and the players picked couldn't carry out the task.

On the topic of the thread though, I had a look back at the threads leading up to the cup tie 2 years ago. @David O'Day was on it predicting a battering, that we'd have too much for them even with a rotated side etc etc. So the consistency from then to now was reassuring.

Mediocre means not very good. I don't think of midtable teams as not very good personally.

I'm not sure what your point was? It's like some people have never seen the championship before
Honestly mate. What are you on about? You are a head of year ffs, please learn what mediocre means.
Of average quality - Wrexham are about average in this league. A midtable team.

Their stats show that they've had a hard start at this level. Arguing the quality of Wrexham is weird frankly and I'd rather concentrate on us bouncing back.
Some people talk shit, we know that but also if we're getting to the point where people are pulling up match predictions as gotchas, the forum is dead.

"Of average quality, not very good" is the definition

In no world are Wrexham not very good

Why don't you just admit the truth? You get too carried away with hating teams like Brum and Wrexham that you convince yourself they are shit and that's why it's harder for you to take last night's result.

Oh sure, I just found it an interesting thing in common. I said before the game they've got a mid table side, if we'd started with 3 men in midfield it's an entirely different game but Lampard for whatever reason really didn't want to risk Eccles or Torp despite including them in the squad.

I'm mostly annoyed because it's against a plastic club full of mercenaries and that dinosaur of a manager. Get revenge on old cabbage face though and I won't give a fuck.

You're a real dickhead when you're trying this gotcha shit. I've never claimed to hate Wrexham, they are cringey but there are people on here who hate them way more than I do. My friend BSB being one. I hate Blues, they are horrible, sue me.
I've also accepted the result, I don't like losing but when I saw the team it's hardly unexpected, I just want us to bounce back.
I'm calling out people dramatising, who all seem to have come out the woodwork or people who seem to be getting off on it. Looks like you are the latter.

Birmingham are your poison, Wrexham are mine. C’est la vie

I don't think they will. Birmingham might but they need to show more than they have been. It's just opinions though, it really doesn't matter.

They will. They've got loads of good Championship players.

Average in a league context means mid table. He’s making an argument out of nothing.

Feel sorry for you, Astute was at it yesterday too!
Yes yesterday I got properly Astuted. Attacked for agreeing with him. Now I'm getting it in the neck for describing a mediocre Championship team as mediocre/middling.
Might be time to log off until Tuesday. I would predict a win but I don't want the secret Blunt fans getting angry.

Why people are so resentful of Wrexham enjoying a rare bit of success after years of struggle is beyond me.

Shut it you. Go back to hating tiki taka at same time as dinosaur tactics. Moan for sake of moaning.

Not very good doesn't mean mid table

Feel free to disagree but don't say I'm arguing for no reason when I'm the only one not being emotional here

It's the Americanisation. Same with Birmingham.

It’s a bit different to Birmingham - they are one of oldest clubs in the k league and have had enormous struggles - I wouldn’t be boycotting the club if we had American owners

I find Wrexham a mildly interesting story and can see why people would be drawn to it. It's not for me but I get it, I've said this before.
Birmingham are something else altogether.

Well no one would, because they come on and throw money at it and people get carried away.

Whilst that's happening, all the small changes happen and you find half the fans are American and you steadily sell your soul.

You’re nearly getting there, I dislike both styles because there’s something in between that’s much better.

In a league context, very good should mean top 6. Average would be mid table. Stop clinging to the persona of always being right, accept his point and move on.

Guys Guys Guys, we went away from home with half a side missing, and still managed to score 2 goals in what was a piss poor performance.

We had more combined shots on goal than them, and we had more possession than them in their own back yard.

For me, the big difference was that our make shift defence couldnt cope with Moore.
Woolfenden had a game im sure he would want to forget. And I predicted we would struggle in centre mid against Sheaf, James and O'brien, it was a selection mistake leaving out Torp and playing the lightweight Allen in there.

Our set pieces were poor on the night with no MvE on throws and no Torp in the first half who would of been on the free kicks around the box.

So we narrowly lost a game of football, away from home against a big spending side who treated the game like their cup final.

Good luck to them, they deserved it, but shit happens, it was a bad day at the office. Its been coming, and now its out of our system

Onwards and upwards. Time to start the next winning run !!!

Is part of the definition not very good? Are you saying I made that up?

Mediocre has negative connotations and you know it

Lets get chatgpt to help

Key points about the connotation of "mediocre":
  • Derogatory/Pejorative It is generally used as a put-down or an insult, suggesting a lack of effort, quality, or ability.
    • Below Expectations It is often used in situations where a higher standard was expected, making the "average" result a letdown.
    • Differs from "Average" Unlike "average," which can be a neutral term (e.g., "an average height"), "mediocre" is rarely, if ever, used in a positive or neutral way.
    • Synonyms Words with similar negative connotations include "second-rate," "inferior," "sub-par," "unexceptional," and "lackluster".

Talk about arguing for arguments sake. What an own goal from you.

You just got schooled by a far superior teacher. You are a mediocre teacher. Keep working hard and one day you will be average.

Not really any need for that. BSB is a respectful poster. It's a shame as you can be a good and occasionally amusing poster yourself when you're not just picking at people for the sake of it.
