Just wondering why talks with the Higgs trust have also broken down (see the bizare speculation thread). Is it that the Council won't let Higgs sell or is it actually that Sisu can't afford it?

That tells us how serious sisu were about PAYING to buy the share, they want it for next to nothing and there is no low level they wouldn't stoop to obtain that
