Cow me, thought I recognised the 2nd camera view, my grand folks (now dead) lived there virtually all their life, house by the entry near the Wallace. Happy memories but christ things look like they have changed it used to be so quiet and almost posh like. Neighbourhood policing is good for intelligence and gives the community a feel good factor but most old plod say its pretty innefective for actualy arrests. I think what little resources they have should be put into response, get the old bill there as fast as possible.

The first one is someone recording their CCTV playback on their mobile phone and the second one is a neighbour over the road recording it on their phone after hearing the commotion.

every day you are hearing about a car stolen, someone being stabbed in the city. It has never been this bad and really hate living in our proud city seeing this all happening.
I witnessed the crash on Binley Rd on Saturday afternoon, three stolen cars driving at high speeds down Marlborough Rd, going too fast and spun out at the bottom missing a car by inches. About 8 hoody kids ran from the scene leaving two of the cars and one sped off in the 3rd. The copper searched the car and found 4 sets of plates from other stolen vehicles.

I am surprised there isn't a vigilante group in the city by now!

Somebody trying to "vanjack" in Coundon yesterday as well, it's madness.

Just little twats who want to flash a knife to take something somebody else has worked hard for.

Most of it is virtually always about drugs in some way or another as well.

they are going unchecked virtually unless they fuck up themselves as police don't have the resources to stop it. One of these little shits will get seriously injured by a member of the public at one point and I wonder how hard the courts would come down on that poor person trying to defend his property or someone elses.

Had it happen first hand, they were more interested in me even though I was a victim of it.

Smashed into by an offroad bike, a bit of a scuffle and the police ring me up saying "they have said you stole their bike", "who said that","the people who were on the bike","how would I steal it, i was in my car".

A few months later I got a letter saying they couldn't prove who was on the bike and it was being dropped. I told them names and addresses of the people on the bike. Off to do it again, I have to pay for repairs to my car.

Like you say, it will happen where they try to bother the wrong person and end up getting killed.

Fuckers, our house was broken into and he left his cigarette on he floor with DNA all over it but the outcome was that he could have walked it in! What on the fucking kitchen table!

There was a chap a few months back who was caught on multiple peoples CCTV trying to break in to cars. Idiot didn't even have gloves on. Multiple cars that would have had multiple clear fingerprints but the police didn't have anyone available to come it. Its a shambles.
