Morning all,

Looking forward to the game on Sat and gaining revenge for the Cup debacle last year. If coming by train go down station road to Hills Road, couple of reasonable pubs down there (Flying Pig, Emperor). Continue down Hills Rd/Regent St another 10-15 mins and you can find the huge Wetherspoons pub (Regal), I'll be in there from 12.30ish! Not as many pubs near the ground as there used to be, Mill Road (first right down station road and keep going) has a few pubs on it. PUSB!

Thanks for the info

I'm travelling by train with my lad, are these pubs suitable?

No mate it's the South Stand that you want. The North Stand is their home end and is refered to as the NRE (Newmarket Road End). When you are walking down the Newmarket Road towards the town centre, pass the ground and turn left over the cattle grid (I kid you not) and into the park. The Habbin terrace will now be on your left and the away end (The South Stand) previously called the Allotment End is at the end of the path.
Try not to step in any cow pats.........I still kid you not.

He's right - you have to walk through a cow field to get to the (away) south stand there.

Hi all, I've not been to the new north station yet, think it's a tiny bit closer to Newmarket Rd (where the ground is) but the main station is a lot more central.

If the seated South Stand sells out they will then open the side terrace, which I'd much prefer to be honest. How many of we sold now, anyone?

Somewhere between 900/1000...so unlikely the extra will be needed although there were nearly 300 who paid on the day at Chesterfield.

Don't tell them about Mill Road! Place is a shit hole!

Cambridge is so nice, wouldn't want anyone to have their day ruined by a trip to Mill Road.

Oops, too late! It's not so bad now, how long ago did you live here?

I'm 2 mins from the Regal so will pop in there on Sat.

Lived in Cambridge about 4 years ago. Had my first year at uni spent at the bottom of Mill Road - which I couldn't wait to get out of after about week one!

A year living by Midsummer Common, and a year close to the train station. It's a good city, for sure.

Remember hearing some years ago that Millwall were at the Abbey and when the away fan terrace behind the goal was a ramshackle, uncovered affair. Somehow, a gang got out of the ground and into the allotments behind. They then proceeded to disrupt the game by lobbing cabbages and cauliflowers over the fence & into the penalty area.
'Good old Millwall' !
