It was really deep and sad - And it goes to show that him coming back to us is a complete non starter
Whilst I am sure he is appreciative to the club for his development as a footballer you get the impression and it is totally understandable that he probably has no desire to ever come back to Coventry - No coincidence that his two moves have been about as geographically far away as possible from the area and explains why he knocked back Villa to sign for Newcastle in 2020 (This was before Newcastle's takeover as well)
He has settled in a fantastic area with a young family now and will want to stay put instead of coming back to a place where he has so many bad memories - He will round off his career somewhere in the north, saw that Leeds fancy him which would be a cracking move for him
Wish him nothing but the best
