Had a nosey of the Sheffield United forum, and they are of the opinion that they have done one over us with this.

I think he is a good player, and will be decent for them, but it’s not the equivalent of them getting Hamer. Feel like we already have players that will be an improvement on o’hare.

All he has to do is look at Hamer coming back to the CBS every week to realise grass isn’t always greener, but no hate from me.
Also think we will finish above them anyway

This. We'll have another hero down the line, (and they'll end up leaving too). Booing people who have helped improve the club from the depths of a few seasons ago isn't for me. The only real player I'd have reserved that for would have been Bellamy, due to his total disrespect.

Wouldn't boo him. It's a bit of a shame for him really, imagine he had hopes of stepping up a level (and not just more money). No way he's turned down top flight here or abroad for Sheffield United.

i cant wait for them to realise that O'Hare is their Hamer replacement

£25k a week is crazy for a CAM with a long term knee injury and even at best scores 1 goal every 8 or so games

Moore is a decent signing for them though!

Can we stop pretending that he’s injury prone? Hes had one big injury - and appears to be over it.

im gutted he’s gone - but happy with the Rudoni replacement

2 reasonably big injuries. Had a good few months out prior to the ACL.

They can't have done one over us can they if the club offered Cal 10k less than our highest earners and wouldn't budge ..

We had the money to make him our highest earner , but we spent it elsewhere

25k a week and 2 million signings on bonus? Sign me up. No qualms about where he's gone or even for the money, I'd have probably gone to Spain for a bit less money personally. I genuinely don't think he's worth that kind of investment, he's barely improved in the past 2 seasons and he's not that good either, top 8 championship player on his day but since he's been here, we've always had better players, Walsh, Hamer, Gyokeres, Van Ewijk etc. I don't see him as a loss really, and we've already replaced him with a better player in Rudoni.

Good thing is, if Sheff Utd are blowing loads on some pritty average players, then they'll be no threat next season.

Some of them are hilariously confident Hamer will stay too. I mean, the little fucker actually liked it here and still couldn't wait to fuck off as soon as the first offer from a Premier League club came in, even though it was clear what was going to happen there.
One sniff of interest and he'll be like a rat up a drainpipe.

With Rudoni, EMC and Torp available, O'hare wouldn't be in our starting 11.

Good luck to the lad for getting a great deal, and I wish him well

just for context if he does get a 2 million signing on fee that would be more than he’s earned his entire time here so if true you can’t blame him for taking the money especially after the massive injury

Wilder will like Cal because he works incredibly hard , nobody can deny this his workrate is off the chart however even that changed slightly when he came back from Injury .
But nobody can deny he struggled for end product and it's not like we're a club that doesn't improve players so has Cal reached his peak especially after injury ??
Cal is good in tight spaces linking up with wing backs or full backs but really wasn't the type to constantly feed a striker .. Robins initially loved him because he chased everything and helped us defend from the front , our playoff season he didn't feature at all pretty much .

I don't think we will miss him , not like we missed hamer

I thought that at first, but if you think about it, the total cost of buying him is around £6million pounds with wages added.
And they are asking £20million for Hamer apparently, with Wolves showing interest.

So if O'hare is the Hamer replacement, they are £14million better off.

Wilder might like Cal but Cal will not like Wilders style of football, I'd rather play under Slade then Wilder! And Slade should be nowhere near football.... Alright that might be a little extreme but you get my drift.

O'Hare who has been absolutely brilliant for us on and off the pitch is suddenly poor compared to the new players we have not properly seen play yet?
MR wanted to keep him and we offered our highest wage within the structure we are prepared to authorise.
Cal would have been really made aware that football is a short career with his injuries. Needs to rack up the £s now as he may break down again. I am sure he would have liked to play at a higher level, but you can only go with what is on offer.
Experts say takes two years to regain form after an ACL. Hope he keeps fit and does well in his career (but not against us obviously).
I will not boo O'Hare but I won't sing his song either.

More than £14mill better off if you take Hamer's wages into account, which they will not be paying out....... Not that I think COH is a great replacement for Hamer. Though wish him well.

Cov offered him £12k a week tops.

Really.... 2m signing on fee!??....
Can't see that as being anywhere near accurate.
Are clubs in the championship (or even lower end Prem) paying that? Bear in mind they have just signed Moore on a free too...
Also, the 12k pw is probably wrong. Remember when he was one of our top earners on 10k pw.
Then he signed a new contract!

Is the player an academy player who pretends to be ITK!?

COH is a shithouse, look fair play to him getting higher wages and a big sign on fee, everyone wants to earn more money certainly, but don't give this 'I want to test myself at a higher level' bullshit when really it's about the money, he's gone to a shite club who got the football version of a bukkake last year.
