Ultimately he’s left so it doesn’t matter but I’d rather he joined Soton than Leicester!

Agreed. We're not big enough to satisfy his ego.

Should fit in well then given the charges your club has for cheating over a number of seasons.

If he rediscovers the form he had around January, he'll do well there. It's blatantly about PL football and a big payday for him; i'd be looking to go to Soton if I was him though.

Plus there would be a significant signing on fee. Even with a relegation wage relegation clause, he'd still be on around £30K or something.

won't go down well if he goes to Leicester. obviously its a reality of football that you go where the money is and you don't really care that much about the club you're at

but that will be lost on a lot of fans who will see it as we stuck by him when he was injured, offered him a new contract, he refused and signed with Leicester instead

and of course potentially the chance that 12 months on he could be back in the championship and we've taken their place in the Premier, stranger things have happened!

Leicester would be very appealing to him.
Wouldn't have to move house.
Biggest wage offer.
Better day to day environment than Southampton.
Obviously our fan base would not be impressed, but take away the sentiment and this move would makes sense for him.

If he goes to Leicester purely for the money, then fair play and good luck to him.
A footballers career is short and having had an ACL injury, he might think about grabbing the money while it's there.

But ...... He's left a club that nurtured him, developed him, looked after him when he was injured, and showed him nothing but love and respect.

And gone to a club who's fans arnt even bothered if he signs for them or not.

One day soon reality will hit him, that there's more to life than just money, and I have a feeling that all the cash in the world won't help him when his mental health suffers.

I'm sure he'll cope just fine, much in the same way most of us would do leaving one company for another.

I'm not so sure, O'hare loves the limelight, he's used to the adoration and used to being the big fish.

At Leicester he'll be lucky to get much game time (imo) and the fans there arnt exactly enthusiastic about him signing.

The money is obviously the sweetener, and as I said I can see why, but with Leicester looking at a points deduction and almost certain relegation next year, is it really the best move for him at this time?

Would love him at Leicester but can’t see it as I thought one of your ITK’s alluded to the fact we hadn’t spoken to him?

It’s a job. Take the sky blues tinted glasses off and think this is his career. If a rival company offered me 30k more to do the same role I’d be straight off.

Really not that bothered if he goes there to be honest.

There's a lot of rumours and gossip but nothing concrete.

Southampton, West Ham and Everton were supposedly interested in him. If that's true I'd of thought any of those would be a better fit, and have more chance of staying up (no offence)

But ultimately, he's gone and we've already replaced him and moved on.

It's probably better than him being with us in the league below and earning £20K a week less. I also wouldn't say he's been 'the big fish' at CCFC for most of his time with us, apart from possibly the first Championship season. As I said though, I wouldn't go to Leicester if I were him.

He'll be getting offers we simply can't get anythint like close to. Realistically I don't think he will be good enough in the Premier League. Would expect him to be back on loan to a top Championship side next summer maybe even Jan... Could even end up back here.

I'd say the opposite is pretty much the case and he doesn't really care what others think about what he says or how he dresses. The snide comments on here about him carrying a bag while on holiday say it all.

Good luck to him wherever he ends up. Would rather him go to premier league (no matter if Leicester). He is good but not good enough I think to command a regular starter spot in the PL.

Leicester makes perfect sense for him. A shot at the prem, huge wages and doesn't need to move.

It's OK saying that he should stay and finish the job with us, but there's no guarantee that we get to the prem in the next few years.

If be doesn't move to the prem now, he's unlikely to get another opportunity.

Even if it doesn't work out, either because he isn't good enough or because he misses daddy Robins, he's set up for life, on 3/4 x the wages. Its a no brainer really if we are honest.

That said - its still a shitter if he chooses to go to a local rival on a free and I won't blame anyone for not welcoming him back with open arms.

He will struggle in your side and Fester will struggle to stay up, especially with the points deduction.

Just like Gustavo Hamer and Sheffield United did.

But hey oh, O'HARE is laughing all the way to the Bank.

IF and I mean IF we offered him 15k pw and one itk said that’s true.
And Leicester have offered 40k pw and a large signing on fee, with a relegation get out clause. Then he would be mad to turn it down.
The only reason to do so would be, if he got a better offer elsewhere.
And anyone who says they would abuse him, would hand on heart say they wouldn’t do the same. Cos I am damn sure I would.
