I'll be honest COH would be a rotation player for Celtic.

O'Hare flatters to deceive, I don't think he's good enough to make it in the prem, fair play to him if he manages to find a club to take him on but can't see him being anymore than a squad player at that level.

Fair enough, he can do what he wants. Personally, I don’t think he’s getting guaranteed football at any Prem or even top Championship teams (relegated teams + Southampton, Leeds or even Norwich).

We’ll see where he ends up and if he does a dramatic U-turn it’s also a sign his offers aren’t all that.

Good luck Cal.

Think Rudoni could end up being better for us anyway, if true.

Agreed. The portugese league is a much better standard of football than Scotland without a shadow of a doubt

Both Rangers and Celtic are far bigger than any club at our level and he'll get to play in Europe.

Standard is woeful generally though.

Club wise certainly.
The SPL though is firmly in the shadow of the Championship as far as competition AND quality is concerned.
Both Rangers and Celtic regularly get tonked in european competition too.

Utter nonsense. If you took the big 3 out of portugal and Rangers and Celtic out of the SPL and combined the rest of the leagues the Portugese teams would dominate.

I think Celtic would be a good move for him personally, not convinced by Rudoni as a replacement.

They'd adore him for his name alone and he would undoubtedly pick up a few trinkets.
He'd certainly be on higher wages, but career fulfilment?

he'd get loads of money, and probably win something, but he'd know it was second class football at best.

Portugal is a higher standard league.

Country coefficients | UEFA rankings

UEFA.com is the official site of UEFA, the Union of European Football Associations, and the governing body of football in Europe. UEFA works to promote, protect and develop European football across its 55 member associations and organises some of the world’s most famous football competitions...
www.uefa.com

Scotland currently behind Czechia.

Lots of rough edges to iron out but potentially a hell of a player. MR & AV could get a tune out of Coldplay so I'd back them to unlock it.

Not gonna lie this still seems too high

These things are essentially based on how the teams perform in European competition right? So its not a great way of judging the quality of the entire league.
Admittedly I can't think of solid way of judging one league vs another, its just the eye test isn't it. Watch some games, yep that league is shitter than that league.

The top 9 would be the top 9 I'd pick though tbf. Everything after that is of a slightly sketchy standard.

The player will have multiple offers on the table and we will find out soon enough which way he goes. I think the club have done all they can to keep him but its now down to him to pick his path if he already hasn't.

Plenty of players out there and some really nice potential pick ups that have already been mentioned i like. Its going to be interesting to see which way Robins goes once he knows the outcome of COH.

The more I hear about Leicester’s predicament, the more I’m expecting he’ll be going there.

They’ll have to sell players and rebuild with lower value players and frees. KDH as one of their young homegrown talents will be a prime candidate to be sold. COH is as close as you can expect to find available on a free and it seems is well thought of by fans from what I’ve seen.

If he goes to Leicester then he'll do a Hamer and have one of the worst seasons of his life before being back in the Championship next year while spending half his time hanging out at the arena

This is his big move to set him for life. If all he can get is a 1 year wage bump followed by a relegation clause then he's fucked it.

At least the league can support 18 teams. You'd have to add the Scottish Championship in to compare the bottom of the Primeira Liga and that is League 2 level.

yep but the teams at the bottom of the primeria liga are absolutely rotten as well, that is why Sporting Club were a great move for Vik, fill you boots in a league where it's standing is higher than the level of the teams and it sets you up for a massive move.

Scottish football is a bag of wank. Nearly every season Celtic and Rangers embarrass themselves in Europe these days. Bedworth Utd would probably compete it's that bad
