Hate to say it, but if Juke gets injured at all we are going to really, really struggle.

The reason I believe most of us don't think things will get better is because we are already playing kids and have no cover in key areas, i.e. Juke or Clingan. It seems plainly obvious that we cannot survive with this small a squad for a whole season and the proof of the pudding at the moment has been that we have had to play the likes of Bell, Baker and McSheffrey even when they are playing really poorly/can't be arsed or are simply out of form.

This is what is going to kill us. Why would I believe things are going to get better? Only one way I can see this going unfortunately. Just hoping and praying the injuries aren't going to come, but the likelihood is that they will, just a question of when.

Cody didn't play against Blackpool did he? Against Reading I thought he was getting into much better positions. I remember at least 2 infront of the Telegraph stand where he read one of Juke's flick on's really well and just headed over. I think he'll vastly improve, but he needs games. Wecould do with Eastwood back, much as I hate to say it. Against Watford he looked better than our other strikers, even when he was a mopy, unfit, pillock

No Cody didn't play against Blackpool, and I thought he was anonymous against reading. He played well against Ipswich.

My point exactly Otis....you don't think Forest will continue to struggle they have decent players, but so do we!! Clingan, Juke, sheffers, keogh, cranie.All are good when they perform. We are no different than anyone else that is struggling at the minute but city fans right us off and no one else. Forest have no devine right to be good or succesfull, what i have seen they are poor. Brighton i will agree to disagree, i think they will slide.

Your right no one has a divine right to be successful, but as they say form is temporary, class is permanent - forest have a lot of quality in their team we haven't. Clingan has flattered to deceive pretty much his entire sky blue career, sheffers is 5 years past his best, keogh is a trier, cranie is classy and juke has potential to be a top player. But I feel there are not enough goals in the team to prevent us from being relegated. Goals win matches, turns draws into wins and losses into draws.

My Bad, it was Reading that I was thinking of. Point still remains, not only was he more sluggish than Clive Platt after 20 minutes match time, but he was also failing to get into good positions from Goal Kicks. Surely this is practiced on the training ground and he should know where he has to be?

If they had McLaren at the helm then i would agree with you, but they don't. No way they will be embroiled in happenings at the wrong end of the table if they bring in a half-decent manager.

Bring the likes of a Peter Reid or a Chris Coleman in and the yes, they will be down at the wrong end of things.

Cody has looked poor so far. His vision seems to be poor. The amount of headed Flick on's Juke put into the right areas vs Blackpool was unbelievable, I may be wrong but I don't think CM got onto the end of any of them. You don't need tip top fitness to stand just onwards of Juke now do you. Juke can't get much better he is having to work so hard with little support.

No, Cody got one flick on against Derby. His first touch was Kyle-esque, and it bounced away

Ha ha, nearly every one of them would be our best-and highest paid-player if we had them! Yet they speak of the manager not being backed by the owners-they wanna have look at our squad if they want to know what that truly amounts to!

The announcement of the managers departure spoke about a large number of players "failing to buy into his managerial approach". In other words, much like Aidy, he had "lost the dressing room". Or more likely, never had it in the first place. They took one look at him, and thought "too much wacky backy when in Holland, he's as mad as a hatstand"

our team is not good enough by a long way, i honestly cannot see cov getting more than another 7 points before christmas, meaning we are going to be bottom of the league this christmas.....

It is funny though, as when I heard him on R5 late last season he was one of the best readers of the game I've heard. He also raved about Harrison as "one of the best and most experienced coahes in the game" (wish I could remember what he'd quoted him on, something about focus and fitness I think!). There was also a moment with Edin Dzeko when he was interviewed after the game-he called McLaren "gaffer", they seemed to have huge affection and respect for each other, and afterwards McLaren spoke about what Man C needed to do to get the best out of him-play him down the middle with wingers supplying crosses..just like they have.

I think it's a classic case of a manager who is used to working at a much higher level not being able to adapt. You don't win the Dutch league with a non top 3 club by being a complete mug. But the other thing is football culture-he has a funny accent now, and the players will have blamed that as their reason for refusing to train every day of the week, which is the programme that he'd used in Europe. There's a big difference between running a European top flight club and a Championship one.
