Yeah that's what I'm meaning really, either way.

He didn’t con the ref cos the ref don’t fall for it if it was a dive so nothing to do retrospectively .

Worrying how much that happens now.

As the officials have become so fastidious about goal line technology means that over the line isn’t always over the line for the whole of the ball, and how the ball only needs to be cutting the plane of the marked lines when taking a corner - they are expected to flag everytime the ball touches the line for a throw in.

Grimes pulled his leg back, Smyth tried to con the ref.

Expected it to be given and they normally are, fair play to the ref.

Yeah, that's the still. He throws himself into grimes rather than the other way round.
That’s how I saw it - grimes stopped himself from dangling the leg and he fell into him.
I think his reaction is more the fact refs would normally give nonsense ones like that.
