Okay. Let's try and keep off footie until the new season and think about what would be on your bucket list. I'm sure that if you are only in your 20's, 30's, 40's and maybe 50's then there are still a lot of things you'd like to do in your life. Older farts like me have probably done loads so our lists aren't as long. For example, I've climbed the highest peaks in the UK, I've driven coaches and lorries. Been a glass blower, undertaker and had security clearance to be airside at airports. Had a hazardous goods licence, been on TV, radio and met many celebrities in my time. Written a book, had 8 kids, got 17 grandkids, have one great-grandson. But there are still some things yet to see or do before I pop me clogs. My list of ten (in no particular order, and certainly not complete!), are:
Watch a live performance of Swan Lake.
See the Northern Lights.
Visit Rome.
Learn to speak fluent Italian.
See Madame Butterfly performed live on stage.
Increase my photography skills.
Eat at the Djemaa el Fna in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Do a Beatles tour of Liverpool.
Eat a snail. (Escargot).
Skydive.

Some great stuff on there. Have only done the Morocco one. Have eaten a whelk so that's near enough to a snail? Favourite tune of all time is the Humming Chorus - would love to hear that live.

I've eaten frogs legs. They were delicious! I also love virtually all sea food stuff e.g. mussels, cockles, whelks and oysters. I ate a dozen oysters once. Only three of them worked!

Yep love all seafood. Once nearly choked to death on a fairground waltzer chewing a very large whelk, would have been a bizarre way to go!

What was the book about?

That is so much like "Bring Him Home" from Les Misérables. Brilliant piece of music.

It's just my autobiography. I was brought up in care of local authorities and also spent 5 years in a convent up bringing. Horrible childhood, so decided to write about it.

The Humming Chorus can bring a tear to the eye. It's beautiful and sad - makes me think of the people I've lost down the years.

Only 3 and a bit minutes. Have a listen. And yes, the book was good therapy for me. It was a suggestion by a psychologist at Gulson Rd hospital many years ago. : Pater Noster by Barry Adams (Paperback) - Lulu

Hogmanay in Edinburgh

I’d love to live in America and experience a Halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas and proper winter out there

Was supposed to see Les miserable In Birmingham in April but I broke me leg the week before so that’s on the list

I’d love to try my hand at stand up comedy and possibly get back involved in broadcasting again

I’ve done a July 4th in Boston, and a thanksgiving, sort of, in Vermont. Hotel in Vermont was great, chef used to come chat us after the meal. Asked us what we would like for the next night. We all said thanksgiving meal. He asked all the yanks in the restaurant, and they all thought it was a great idea, so that’s what he did.

Les Misérables is a fantastic show to see live, I’ve lost count of the number of times I have. The London show is especially impressive.

I’ve also done a sky dive over Lake Taupo in New Zealand and was one of the scariest and best experiences of my life. I’d definitely recommend.

I have dived with mantra rays before too, although doing it with sharks is even better!

Finally, Rome is a fantastic place to visit for a long weekend. Pretty much everything is within walking distance which is rare for such a busy and attraction heavy place. Plus, there’s loads of great bars/pubs between each!

I reckon stand up must be one of the hardest most terrifying things to do.
I also think a lot people who start doing it get addicted. I knew a lad who used to do a bit and without being horrible, he was dreadful buy he just kept going back for more, (unfortunately for him the audience didnt).

I must admit swimming with hammerheads was pretty exciting and we did a couple of specialist shark trips when I was working on the boats in Egypt but manta rays have eluded me all my diving career.

Florence is also a fab place to visit with everything close to the city center.

The Masters in Augusta
Go to Vegas
See Miami Dolphins play at home
Learn to play the guitar
Boxing at Maddison Square Garden
Cricket at the MCG, ideally an Ashes Test
And above all this, hope I live long enough to walk my daughter down the aisle and be a grandad
