He is definitely improving - i think he played well yesterday and has gone from being in my mind an impact Sub to a starting 11 - Well done Brandon
He has always been decent. He doesn't possess the skill Rudoni has, but not many do. Maybe BTA and Wright are the partnership we need. BTA always puts a shift in too and he's got very good awareness of where his teammates are

I thought he played well yesterday but watching the hilights back I think he was evenbetter thanI realised. Was much better on the ball yesterday than last week (when I tbought he also had a good game). .
He's definitely improving and his work rate can't be faulted.

Carries on like the last 2 games and he'll take some shifting.
Really impressed with what I've seen from Rapha as well so not sure we're as desperate for a winger to come in as some suggest.

His energy, press, pace and strength is a nightmare for defenders and he creates space for the likes of Haji, Rudoni etc to do their thing.

Interesting theory here but has our attacking dynamic changed since Tatsu got injured and BTA in that position? It’s a lot more powerful going forward as an attacking unit?

That was my thinking - a bit like how MR used to stumble upon winning formations, perhaps Tatsu's injury means we've stumbled upon a winning line-up. Early days, of course, but it's a definite possibility.

Gotta say, when the ball fell to him with only the keeper to beat, I had very little confidence that he would score. But holy shit, was I wrong! What a damn finish.
It was the cut back and set up for rudoni’s deflected one which I liked. I actually think the ball into him could’ve been better but he showed pace (obviously), awareness and skill to cut inside and set him up…rather than trying to shoot.
He looked good. Long may it continue.

It's been noted elsewhere but he plays more into the pitch than Saka who clings tightly to the touchline.

This gives space for MVE. I used to despair last season when MVE would pass to Tats, who would, as he always does, hold the ball well, before just passing back to MVE. MVE would then move it left. Eventually as the season progressed MVE would increasingly just cut out the middleman and pass it to the left straight away. With BTA more infield there is space for MVE to get down the touchline.

Glad BTA has started well and starting to get some credit, he's looking better and just needs to add consistency now, early doors but it's a good start for him, I've always liked BTA and knew there was a good player there just not shown it enough so hopefully this is the start of a good season for him

BTA offered pace and power as well as the obvious goal threat.
I think it suits him playing a bit wider than down the middle.
I cant see Sakamoto walking straight back into the side, and maybe we don't need to splash the cash on that Godo player from Fulham?

He's definitely keeping the shirt at the moment.

Why would we not sign that Godo?

Godo would be a backup on the left for Ephron, as thats the side we lack the most cover especially if Wright is our number 9

Because we dont need a third choice winger?

Durrrrr
Putting players in order of 'choice' is very much a fan thing, I doubt managers see things in these simplistic ways.
But also Godo is mainly a left winger, he'd be second choice initially, if you were to describe it in such a way.

Edit
I'd also add that he's shown he can have an impact on the left or right side.
Maybe Frank has been working on him during pre-season, we certainly look more fluid, and the likes of Torp are now looking more dangerous this season.
Although the quality of opposition hasn't been the best so far.

Agree with other posters, really impressed me in the last couple of games (I’ve been a doubter in the past). It’s been said before he’s an instinctive player and if we can play to his strengths he can be affective. Fair play to coaching team/management as well

Let’s hope he/we can keep it up, as that front three with Rudoni just behind can cause any team problems

We have no cover for EMC, he can play at number 10 and he can play both sides.

Anyway Frank wont rank them by "choice" he will rank them by individual qualities they can bring to certain games.
Yeh, not aimed at that individual poster but ranking by choice has crept back in on here. Only the other thread you have people saying Simms is a good second choice, even if you ignore the fact he's not really, what you really want is someone to challenge Haji or someone that offers something different for different challenges. The squad has to be competitive.
Godo will have time to bed in then hopefully we'd see him properly challenging EMC

We'd benefit from another winger even if BTA is an effective option there. I'd like to see Godo or someone else come in
I know some aren't feeling it but just from the looking into him I've done, again total sad act, I'm quite happy with it if true. Think he'd develop well here.

Godo plays on the left. He’d be backing up left wing which means Wright can focus down the middle even if we get an injury to EMC.

Since BTA looks great atm in the right wing, would mean we would have plenty of cover on the wings

You have a point, but let's be honest, if Wright is fit, he starts. Regardless of the opposition.
He's quite simply far better than anyone else we have. You can call it whatever you want, but in my view, he's first choice .

BTA can play left or right wing when required, and with 2 goals in 3 league games he isnt going to be dropped for some random from Fulham who cant even get on their bench.

Honestly the mad clamour for any new player from absolutely anywhere is getting rediculous.

We've got fans jerking themselves senseless over a reserve player from Fulham who they'd never heard of before a very tenuous rumour saying we put a bid in.
Godo has 2 sub appearances for Fulham, and 30 games on loan for the mighty Wigan in League 1.

Get a fuckin grip.

Why you so angry at the end this 😆
No one is jerking over anything, it's a player we have a strong link with and we're discussing the merits of it.

Frank sees Wright as a striker.

That leaves us with only 3 natural wingers at the club (EMC/Saka/Rapha) and it's telling that after a whole season at the club and a good showing vs Luton, Rapha still didn't get the nod to replace Sakamoto after injury.

I just think we'd benefit from another option there. It's been an issue for a while.

Not angry at all, did it come across like that?

I just think we have decent attacking players already here. (And some not so decent)
BTA looks like a rejuvenated player in his new position, and long may it continue.

As we all know we are desperate for CH cover, more than anything else.

I'd agree with you if Rapha goes out on loan.

We only have 25 places available in the squad, and hes not likely to feature, hes already behind BTA who would fill in on either wing before Rapha (imho) not to mention pushing a FB further forward.
So hes just taking up a squad position unnecessarily.

If FL sees Godo as being better than Rapha and can move Rapha on, then great, go get him. But its moving players on that's proving to be difficult.
