Dasilva deserves a shout out for bouncing back from a difficult outing at Leicester last week, he certainly looked good today.
MvE played well too, everyone put a shift in, 8/10 all round.

Simms put himself around we'll, and gets credit for using his strength for the third goal. Hopefully Frank has been working with him and we get to see more of what he is capable of.

If Torp had not knocked that last goal in, Simms should have had a pen there I reckon.

Birmingham self-destructed. We played extremely well in response. Loved how we didn’t take the foot off the gas in response. If we ended up with this lot in the playoffs, there’d be nothing to fear over two legs.

Yea, definitely getting his shirt pulled.
Credit to Torp for busting a gut to get there and get the goal.
I know we played the whole second half against 10 men, but we looked comfortable even before the sending off, and we didn't miss Rudoni or EMC, so credit to Eccles and BTA.

Dasilva man of the match.
Grimes and Torp also very good and nice cameo from Simms.

Game was over when they went down to 10. Quite scrappy before that

Everyone's earned a second slice at today's pizza party. Dasilva gets his choice of toppings and Torp gets to pick the puddings.

Imo

Rushworth 6 just never had anything to do
Mve 8 very important to way we play
Thomas 7
Kitching 7
Jds 9 made basic things look easy after the last game stepped up
Grimes 8 just keeps the team ticking
Torp 8 looks his goal well
Eccles 7 just getting the minutes into his legs
Sakamoto 6 not been impressed passed couple games really needs to step up
Asante 7 good taken goal impressed with the lil lift he put on it
Haji 6 needs to start being ruthless if he is our main CF

Simms 7 should of scored but team got the rebound just like the Norwich game

Kkh 6 decent getting minutes into his legs

Brau 6 tbh starting to look not good enough needs.more.minutes when opportunity's represent themselves

Kat glad he got a few minutes a few more cameos to see what he can do

Wished wolf got his debut for a few mins near the end although you can't drop thomas or kitching atm without them making a big mistake

Grimes is just the stand out player in games like this. He can sit with the back two and dictate play which then allows the full backs to advance. Then he moves in midfield and plays the ball easily as well as mop up poor passes.

The midfield totally controlled the game. It was about the easiest game I’ve seen for a while

I'm happy with Simms. Put himself about well. An argument could be made that he was being pulled back when he shot, but an in-form, confident striker would have questions asked, not scoring that. Thankfully, though, on 2 occasions today (BTA and Torp), we were more switched on and reacted fastest to the loose ball and capitalised on it.

Not much for Rushworth, Kitch and Thomas to do really. But, at least Thomas and Kitch stayed disciplined against Dykes. Both can easily see the red mist and gift silly free kicks and bookings, but both did well on that front today.

Torp looked ok in the first half. Looked better and got in to the game better when he moved higher up strangely enough.

Dissapointed with Wright picking up a silly yellow. Kinda put him out of the game second half. Couldn't really fight for the ball like he did in the first half. Still, coyldve had 2 goals on a different day and had the beating of their CHs from the start and bought the red card which dictated the swing of the game.

JDS had an outstanding game. But I think their RW made it very easy for him. On at least half a dozen occasions, JDS just stood still and put his foot on the ball to dispossess him with ease. Went from probably his hardest test of the season last week, to a pretty easy one today. Still, you can only play what's in front of you.

Rushworth 6 (not a poor rating but literally nothing to do)
JDS 8.5 (MOTM)
MVE 8
Thomas 7
Kitching 7
Grimes 7
Torp 8
Eccles 8
Tats 7
BTA 8
Wright 7

Subs all decent 6.5
Agree other than Rushworth. Faultless for everything he had to do and his distribution easily worth a point.
