18 years ago there were about 125 of us at burnley midweek we lost 2-0 my missus has bever been to another game it depressed her that much .

The club has changed and so has the fanbase , we should enjoy it rather than Engage in petty nonsense

I'm absolutely determined to enjoy next season, going to and try and ignore all the things about the PL that annoy me and that I've moaned about over the years and just have a good time.

Spent a long time thinking we'd never see it again.

Is that the one when we got a free scarf ?

When we were sat in the ground with 7000 others i used to really let it bother me that fans didnt show up for their club .

But i love how the club is now and how its growing

It's not that for me. He might not get the views that some of the others get because of their shall we say 'wacky' style, but Alex is just an easy watch. Records some of the key moments with a bit of analysis of how he's personally feeling. He seems like a genuine lad and hopefully some of his videos do really well in the PL and he can kick on with it.

Most, if not all of the others are doing that over-the-top/I-want-to-be-TikTok-famous stunts. Each to their own, but a middle aged man standing on a phone box in town with a bunch of kids, isn't someone I have an interest in.
Alex Craig has documented the club really well. It’s a shame he stopped for a period, otherwise he’d have our whole rise on camera.

If I want to remember how a game felt from the stands I’ll watch his video of it, captures it much better than polished tv highlights and he doesn’t make himself the centre of attention.

Thats basically my view with all the fucking social media influencer type fans.

They come with an attitude that they're above everyone, that they are the most Coventry etc but they're actually on a grift to monetise our success.

The truth of it is, it's all bollocks and it's all pretend. If we go back to back relegation like Luton he will dissappear because the exposure will dry up.

He sounds like a typical fan then. If we were back down there a lot of our fans strangely will need to garden every other Saturday

Same, I can't wait for it to start.
And if we are to get relegated first time round, who knows how long it could be till we're back again?

Although I may have to start avoiding any of the clubs social media once it does start. It's going to be unbearable with all the weird opposition supporter accounts popping up.

Thanks mate, appreciate the input.

It’s true. It’s always been the same. When people were whining in 1987 “I’ve always been a fan I was just to busy every Saturday to go”

It was quite handy when you could park 5 minutes away for about £2 and had zero traffic to contend with on the way home!

Turn up 5 mins before kick off and walk straight in, no queues at the bars etc.

"Which row in the ground do you want to yourself for the season?"

I'm not a big fan of people like this but its ignorable. I watch general Championship content but i don't watch any dedicated Cov channels as i don't know what they could tell me that i don't know already.
Just wait until all our socials are flooded with African bots calling us shit after every match. That's the true Prem experience.

Basically the weeks around the Man Utd cup game but for a whole season.

I just can't wait to boo when we lose our first game of the season

Yeh exactly that. It’s going to be unbearable. To the point where you just have to train yourself not to read the comments under anything.

I’m going to consume as little media outside of this place as possible next season unless we beat a “big” club and I can go harvesting tears. Lots I’m looking forward to next season but fan culture definitely isn’t it.

The rise of the Prems popularity combined with peoples need to just be generally cunty when interacting on social media has made it completely toxic.
That said if we have someones pants down I'll probably join you in some rage baiting.

The Championship Reddit group will be a big miss as well, there's some great content in there.
Although I notice fans of teams like Burnley just hang around as they'll inevitably be back.

The official Cov club page comment sections on social media will be on the avoid list though.
The comments pre and post semi final against Man Utd were bad enough

He's a tit and his trying to place himself at the centre of everything was annoying but he is very ignorable.
Its annoying when anyone tries to make themselves like a leader of fans. Always find it cringe when someone name drops a fan on here as if its someone everyone should know. Genuinely couldn't care less.

I was saying exactly the same thing to Raff and the Mad Hatters just the other day.
