yeah, it needs to be done and dusted first.
celebrating until then is a bit weird.
I was really uncomfortable with people celebrating promotion weeks and months ago on here, organising the parties and spending next year's budget, when there were still loads of points needed.

If we were to win tomorrow, as far as I'm concerned it would be beyond doubt so I'd be celebrating, but now people are saying nah you've got to wait for it to be mathematically approved 🤣

Beats me 🤷‍♂️

that's how it works?

It's like being 3-0 up with a minute left in a cup final, you still wait for the ref to blow the whistle before you start celebrating?

Yeah but like I say, look back at some of the cocky threads started ages ago on here! Why were people celebrating when it was far from done, yet wouldn't be prepared to do it tomorrow if only some implausible maths was standing in our way?

3-0 up in a cup final with a minute left is a good analogy, and surely in those circumstances the celebrations are in full swing in the stands?

Yeah but the proper celebrations start at the final whistle

I just don’t want any silly stuff like pitch invasions happening before it’s actually confirmed.

I wasn't talking about pitch invasions, and I don't know what the club's stance will be on that for any of the remaining home games. Needs clarifying to avoid any misunderstandings or unwanted repercussions for people.

It's very simple. We're not confirmed as promoted until only 1 side could theoretically catch us up. We're not confirmed as champions until nobody can catch us up.

I'm not celebrating until it's confirmed.

You’ve gotta be some sort of special if you would consider doing a pitch invasion and it costing us £300k which could buy us a good youth lower league prodigy

This basically. And the fines happen regularly as fun as it would be to go on the pitch. Shit really. There’s been a load of individual bans as well. Just ruined my night looking into it.

Edit: Specific to promotions at home games as well

So are we or aren’t we going on the pitch vs Wrexham?
