Well. 1 of the 3 has happened

IF it gets to 5pm tomorrow and we've done it, its surely everyone into Broadgate for a fucking huge party no?

Doesn’t even need to get to 5pm. we win then it’s all but mathematically done?

We win gives us 87 with +40something GD.
Boro win they’re on 75 with +20something GD.
with 4 to go.

that’s right isn’t it?

UNTIL ITS DONE. ITS NOT DONE
Celebrating up on goal difference is a bit cringe. Just wait a week and it’ll be certain

Would it be the same after Wrexham if we’re confirmed champions and lift the trophy that day?

I was really uncomfortable with people celebrating promotion weeks and months ago on here, organising the parties and spending next year's budget, when there were still loads of points needed.

If we were to win tomorrow, as far as I'm concerned it would be beyond doubt so I'd be celebrating, but now people are saying nah you've got to wait for it to be mathematically approved

Beats me

that's how it works?

It's like being 3-0 up with a minute left in a cup final, you still wait for the ref to blow the whistle before you start celebrating?

Yeah but like I say, look back at some of the cocky threads started ages ago on here! Why were people celebrating when it was far from done, yet wouldn't be prepared to do it tomorrow if only some implausible maths was standing in our way?

3-0 up in a cup final with a minute left is a good analogy, and surely in those circumstances the celebrations are in full swing in the stands?

Someone should bring their dodgy fire stick and hook the Boro Pompey game up to the Big Screen at The CBS

Yeah but the proper celebrations start at the final whistle

I just don’t want any silly stuff like pitch invasions happening before it’s actually confirmed.

If we win tomorrow, town in the evening will be bouncing.

If Boro result also goes our way then it will start early- and Broadgate is the natural place to convene

I wasn't talking about pitch invasions, and I don't know what the club's stance will be on that for any of the remaining home games. Needs clarifying to avoid any misunderstandings or unwanted repercussions for people.

I'll celebrate at home with my dog. The neediness will be intolerable and I don't like urinating in a portable shithouse.

You’ve gotta be some sort of special if you would consider doing a pitch invasion and it costing us £300k which could buy us a good youth lower league prodigy

It's very simple. We're not confirmed as promoted until only 1 side could theoretically catch us up. We're not confirmed as champions until nobody can catch us up.

I'm not celebrating until it's confirmed.

This basically. And the fines happen regularly as fun as it would be to go on the pitch. Shit really. There’s been a load of individual bans as well. Just ruined my night looking into it.

Edit: Specific to promotions at home games as well

Depends mate, do you have to turn up fully clothed then get naked? Or turn up already naked? I'll turn up already naked, time saved stripping down can be spent on drinking
