Can’t work out if Bristol have been poor or we’ve been superb. Really encouraging half and putting to bed all my worries and moans

Good half. Missed the goal due to issues getting iFollow up on the telly in time but once we settled we’ve looked the better team. Could be 3-1 up here and they’d have no complaints.

O’Hare and Hamer look another level, very comfortable at this level. Giles and Pask good going forward with pace. Really really positive. Bit disappointed by Østigård at the moment, especially his distribution, but he’s been away from the squad and I remember slating Dabo after the first game last season so I’ll hold my judgement

Bring on the second half. Just hope we haven’t wasted our domination this half.

Can’t comment during the game, iFollow only works on my phone.

Was worried about having to chase the game for 90mins after the wobbly start. But we’ve taken the game to them, so I’m pleased. Main negative is Hamer, he really needs to learn how to tackle, I can see him being a liability. His delivery is naff too.

Awful start, which I missed! But we’ve looked dominant. They’ve had a couple breakaway attacks that looked slightly dangerous, but for 15 minutes there they couldn’t get near us.
what happened to Kelly by the way? My stream was playing up for the first 10-15 minutes.

If we maintain this hunger and desire throughout the season, its going to be a good year.

Brain fart to start the game, but since then every 50/50 we have won. Looked comfortable in possession and played good probing passes.

Set pieces look good, it's nice to have someone taking them who can beat the 1st man.

Formation is giving our wide men space and allowing o'hare to drop in between their defensive lines.

Defence look slightly like they're on different pages to one another, but they haven't played much together.

As I type this, ifollow says 60% possession - that is fucking huge!

Really good first half after the early wobble. O’Hare and Hamer have been excellent. Giles always an outlet on the left, although needs to improve his crossing a bit.

Only one half, but we look so comfortable ( almost forgotten Kelly has gone off) Surely Bristol City will make changes. Not been on their forum, but they won't be happy after that first minute. Come on City. Really entertaining stuff.

What ever happens today we have shown what we are capable of and I'm not worried about this league.
Hope we have the energy to keep this going in the second half.
With Dabo and Rose to come in we look blessed.

I just want to point out how refreshing it is to be a threat from set pieces. The last two games we’ve created at least 4 good quality chances. Hamer is definitely looking like a bargain already.

Cliche as it is; half time came at the wrong time for us. We dominated the first half overall, but we were more and more dominant as it went on. Let’s hope we come out in the same manner for the second half.

So many reasons to be optimistic and positive about the season. I appreciate it’s only one half of the first game, but bearing in mind according to a few on this thread we’re playing world beaters Bristol with their numerous expensive players, we should be really pleased with that.

Two of my predictions age been correct so far (Paterson and Godden to score), let’s hope the other two (2-1 win and COH to score) are too.

Great first half and it just shows if we continue to play our football we’ll be absolutely fine.
