From tonight’s game , Bristol were toothless up front & with their main defenders out , this might be the perfect time to make a few changes to our team , without losing focus of the big prize .
Eccles , Torp , BTA , Simms etc , must be chomping at the bit , to get back in the starting line up, so Frank might see this as an opportunity to give some a well earned rest , before the final run in ?

We couldn't have chosen a better way for their game against Port Vale to have finish.

An extra game midweek on a poor pitch, 120 minutes of full effort because of the prize at stake and still couldn't put a decent performance together. Poor up front and poor in defence with their supporters very unhappy after losing to the worse League One side by far. Their season is over so nothing to play for.

What was looking at one stage as a difficult game is now looking like an away game where 3 points and 3 away wins on the bounce is looking like the most likely result.

10 games to go after this one. If we win, both Ipswich and Middlesborough would need over half an point extra per game for the rest of the season. From then on each time all 3 sides win their extra needed every game gets bigger. This game is massive.

It was bound to disrupt our training plans a little - assume we had both scenarios covered but only natural some focus would have dipped with the odds on a Bristol win. Mind you has probably disrupted Bristol a lot more!

The fact that Atkinson and Dickie (also McNulty) are out, means the centre of their defence is devastated. Couldn't ask to play them at a better time really.

Perfect time to play them, lost to Port Vale, had to do extra time, their central defenders missing, fans annoyed, we’re on a good run, full squad likely for us to choose from.
