Mate, you've just gone of on a mad rant about the player that set the goal up and you react like this when people point out he got the assist, which maybe "fucking embarrassing" but it's still rather important.

I thought we played well.

I only watched from about 64 mins in though.

Palmer was poor but still got the assist. If we had loads of players to do what he does fair enough but we don't so not sure why everyone so desperate to get rid

Someone called him useless earlier on thread. That's clearly not the case when he popped up with the assist.

Palmer will always get assists because he's 3 steps ahead of the game. Problem is most of the rest of the team aren't on his wavelength. He makes so many class passes that look shite because nobody is switched on. Genuinely think if he upped his work rate he'd be prem quality

Wright - Simms -Asante?

I think I’d like to see that given a go. Bring Saka on when BTA tires considering he played 90 today and half an hour on Saturday.

Not sure it’s breaking news that most of our fans aren’t former pros and not sure what relevance that is.. it’s fact, not comment- assist to Palmer. He wasn’t great, none of them were in what almost felt like a pre-season at times, but he was the one who made the goal.

First half was frustrating. Asante too isolated, Lati is not a RB . Torp and Eccles played well at times Wright as well
Second half played a lot quicker , kudos to Robins for going for it . Lati can play CB , Kitching stood up well.Subs made the difference

Don’t like singling players out, but put him up against Palmer tonight and I know who’d be more likely to come into the “liability” category

In theory there’s 50 goals in that front three based on last season. Got to be worth a pop while Saka is still getting back up to speed.

Da silva was fine. But they played that same ball in behind him at the end that we have seen countless times before. They should have scored from it

You definitely watched the best third.

First half was as poor as Stoke in my eyes. And until the subs were made, second half was looking more like that game too.

They played a lot of balls in behind the whole of our back four at different times tonight . Harsh to pick out DaSilva who I thought had a solid game tonight

A win away from home and a clean sheet can’t really argue.

id start Eccles alongside Torp and I’d start haji wide left

A win. A clean sheet. Thought Wilson, Kitching, Eccles and BTA plus the subs were all good. We were actually turning the tide just before the subs. Palmer is an enigma. Good through ball for the goal offset by over complication in 4-5 other promising attacks. That’s why he’s a championship operator and no higher.

Credit to BTA for daring to get shots on target from outside the box. He probably won’t ever start again as a result, but I can get behind a player who does that.

Productive game for Kitching also in what was a glorified friendly.

Honestly can't see Thomas-Asante being dropped any time soon . His energy and desire is phenomenal and infectious.
Already my favourite player

Just needs to sort out the offsides like many City strikers before him but yes, good early signs.

As a complete aside I need to know which of the coaching staff is responsible for insisting on the apparently compulsory trot out weaving between four discs at the start of the second half.

Saka and Simms will surely start.

Can't see BTA starting after 90 mins tonight so toss a coin between Wright and Mason-Clarke (I'd go with the former if fit enough).

Learn from Mick Quinn. No runs? No offsides.

Can we go 4-4-2 ?
Eccles and Rudoni central . Rudoni was very disciplined tonight when he came on

Got to be Wright Simms Saka on Friday with midfield of Eccles, Allen, Rudoni. For me Torp has been 100% anonymous in both games so far.

They got in down his side a few times late on, he gets caught square like that too much.

That said, he looked good otherwise and looks too have lost a few Ibs like Kitch

Disagree with the all or nothing criticism of Allen. He lost the ball too easily on a few occasions but along with Rudoni, he changed the tempo when he came on. His movement to receive the ball and his pressing was much better than Eccles and Torp.
