How do you think our new Maltese signing Drago will fit into Pressley's formation?

Would he go 442 with Drago and Clarke up front do you think?

Fisher is Holdings, Fisher is Otium. The same man is in both organisation, both part of SISU, and this same man has time and time again stated that we will never play at the Ricoh again.
So why on Earth do people keep on stating or thinking that we will be at the Ricoh next season? Please justify your strange beliefs given what Fisher - boss of both old and new owners, has repeatedly stated.

I wonder when people started believing anything he said?

Is it a new thing?

Only because The Ricoh is the proverbial (sky blue) elephant in the room, when the club is looking for somewhere to play. As for Fisher saying we will never play there again - perhaps it may have been one of Baldrick's cunning plans?!

There will be no where near 3000 Cov fans regularly travelling to any shared ground. At times i think away fans will out number home. We had an average travelling support of a thousand why does anyone think this will go up.

According to some sources, ACL & SISU have agreed a one year deal for CCFC to play at the Ricoh Arena for the up and coming 13/14 season. From various sources on FB.

I bet our Tim is gutted with that announcement resulting in a postponement of his beloved plan to drive CCFC out of Coventry and destroy the fan base

I remember a time, not so long ago, when some fans we recommending what we are doing now - failing to appreciate the possibility of a ground share prior. I remember the threads on the CET - "I've been thinking, why don't we just add extra stands at The Butts?" or "We could build a cheap new ground to get us out of this lifeless bowl"

More recently there was the repeated analogy of "If I couldn't afford my rent then I'd just move house"

Then reality dawns and most of those fans have joined the Not One Penny More campaign!!

I'm sorry, here we go again!! Would you prefer a club with awful owners or no club at all?

There are other options for owners that are likely to be much LESS AWFUL than SISU.
SISU could sell club to someone else, no doubt. The price is the sticking point or some other unknown agenda that SISU have.
I cannot believe that no-one is interested in buying a club with proven premiership pedigree in one of the biggest 'one club' cities in England. Surely the bid process indicated other
potential owners. although we do not know whether the other two bidders were genuine or perhaps even other SISU related entities

Lets get some facts/likely scenarios out there

Since taking over, the team has sunk to its lowest level for 50 years - FACT
Gates have fallen significantly - FACT
Income/turnover fallen by large amount - VERY LIKELY
Suppossed debt increased massively - WHO KNOWS what the truth is on that
Considering playing away from city of Coventry - FACT or FICTION?
Likely relegation to level 4 - VERY LIKELY
Supporters cannot buy season tickets/merchandise - FACT
Many Supporters lost faith/interest - FACT
Players motivation low - VERY LIKELY

I maybe naive here, but the 'no club at all' scenario will only occur if SISI liquidate the club without seeking another buyer

It is strange in this whole saga the fact that sisu just stopped paying rent and lets be honest sisu the business have the money but just decided sod it not paying anymore, that people find excuses for that, yes contracts get broken and yes they can get re-jigged and re-negotiated and that is the proper way, it's business. Just to stop paying ! is that acceptable, not to any decent person. And that decision has led to the delema our football club now finds itself

What.. Like they did by making bids on potentially nothing? Imagine if the administration process was done correctly and put the whole lot in to become full owners, we would have had even more bids.

Can't believe people are still using the "there's no other options" line. Further case of pro sisu idiots ignoring facts. Fisher syndrome they call that.

I'm not using the no other options line, I'd just like the better other options to actually come forward and demonstrate they're better other options.

Until that happens, as much as I might want alternative owners, I can't get behind other options as I don't want mess upon mess going on for another 5 years, just because we fancied a change in the names of hopeless other options.

If SISU stay we have no Coventry club anyway and soon as that first whistle goes for our first home game outside the city that will be the final nail for me..Not bothered who follows them, don't care if some thing its over playing it, but the longer it goes on without agreement we as fans suffer and become disengaged with all connected..

So all this blame game and personal insults or a pretense that most on here seem to have about in depth knowledge means fook all when you spend more energy trying to prove your point than standing together and fighting for a COVENTRY club.......As far as im concerned SISU or ANTI SISU we as fans will all lose while they are connected...

Well, I was laughed at when I said that up to 7,000 might attend "ground-share" home matches; that would include visiting fans, but yes, I think you're right - if we were there or thereabouts in the League, 10,000 might easily be possible.

It's not April 1st is it?Quite what you base this prognosis on,is hard to imagine. What scintilla of evidence can you provide to even think the gates would be anything near that. The overwhelming evidence is that the majority of fans will not travel outside Coventry,I personally don't know a single fan willing to travel to Walsall/Birmingham.Yet you suggest its feasible for our 'away' support to not only double, but increase by a mind boggling 600-700%.
In the past I have seen some (not all) merit in SISU case, however their threat to move the club out of its City, truly crosses the Rubicon for me and I expect most fans.I would support CCFC 'unconditionally',regardless of ownership as long as they remain in Coventry.

Haven't read the whole thread so apologies if this is repetition or in any way incorrect.

It seems as if after a bitter dispute, and months and months of turmoil and wasted time, absolutely sod all has changed.
We'll be playing at the Ricoh with the same owners and the same playing staff and the same long-term argument over the rent/matchday revenue etc.
What a complete joke this has made of the administration process.

The Current directors list is a free download at companies house.
The misconception that Delieu, Igwe & Brody were coming back is another instance of unjustified SISU hysteria that I wish we could get away from.

It was not hysteria, in fact the BBC reported it, but they got it totally wrong.
By Ged Scott BBC Midlands Sport :jerkit:

All three former Sky Blues directors involved, including ex-chairman Dulieu, who was also previously a director at Southampton, have a connection with the club's current owners Sisu, who took over the club in 2007.

They're taking our club out of our City and people say we're being hysterical to criticise them. In respect of our beloved club criticism should be consistent and from everyone. Why are people sympathetic towards them taking the club out of Coventry, it completely bewilders me. I know that nearly all of us don't want it, but how can you even start to defend their actions. Get a grip!! That includes you Mr Linnell.

Penis Panic
A penis panic is a mass hysteria event or panic in which male members of a population suddenly experience the belief that their genitals are getting smaller or disappearing entirely. Penis panics have occurred around the world, most notably in Africa and Asia. Local beliefs in many instances assert that such physical changes are often fatal. In cases where the fear of the penis being retracted is secondary to other conditions, psychological diagnosis and treatments are under development. It is becoming increasingly clear that these forms of mass hysteria are more common than previously thought. Injuries have occurred when stricken men have resorted to apparatus such as needles, hooks, fishing line, and shoe strings, to prevent the disappearance of their penises. An epidemic struck Singapore in 1967, resulting in thousands of reported cases. Government and medical officials alleviated the outbreak only by a massive campaign to reassure men of the anatomical impossibility of retraction together with a media blackout on the spread of the condition.

Thank you Jack, nothing to do with the point I was giving.
It was not a personal remark about you and I have no idea why you would go immediately on the defensive! Lets not go there!..
There is a similarity here though, as a group perhaps we can identify with the fear of a shrinking penis! Not dissimilar to loosing our beloved football club?...
The clue is in bold type...... the cure for the penis panic was a media blackout!

I would suggest that the media have been stirring up the SISU BAD! frenzy!
lets just look at the article you pointed to that started the recent Otium BAD! wave.
Where would the author look for a list of directors (assuming he did not have it on the tip of his tongue).
Companies house.
This tells us not only who the current directors are but when appointments were made and terminated.
  1. Brody terminated 28/11/11
  2. Delieu terminated 16/12/11
  3. Labovich appointed 16/12/11
  4. Fisher appointed 9/2/12
  5. Igwe terminated 21/9/12
The whole picture was clear at companies house and he chose to feed the SISU BAD! frenzy by presenting a picture that had not been true for two years, since 28/11/11. The article was written on 14 June 2013

The only way to stop this hysteria would be a media blackout and that's just not going to happen!
