Closer and closer to breakeven point.
Makes me feel warm inside.
I will be so chuffed when I can boast to my work colleagues that our club is self reliant !!!!
They can stuff wins, promotions and trophies up their bums.
We will be "washing our own faces"!!!!
None of them will be able to claim that.

You are a tit at times. Being self sufficient is important - it means we are less reliant on our imbecilic owners. If we could get rid of them that would be even better.

If we can stand on our own two feet we should hopefully never attract anyone of their ilk to our club again.

Yep it's great we should keep striving for it. For some reason though just as we nearly get there, the finishing line moves a tiny bit further away.
Can't think why but it kind of reminds me of the picture above

But then as you say I am just a tit, I probably have it wrong when I think that the more you cut the worse the results which leads to smaller attendances which leads to more cuts which leads to.....

The cycle of owners throwing money at club, fuck all happens then the money dries up is why we are at this point.

And as soon as a profit is made where do you think that will go ? How much do you think Sisu will charge CCFC in rent for The hypothetical new stadium.....

It could happen but I would think at maybe 2k levels and it won't be in this league or possibly even division 4.
Hence why we are the only club of our stature trying to do it.

Sisu getting their hands on the Ricoh would have been a disaster.

Those in the council who made the decision when looking at Wasps are doing then looking at the way out club is run. Unfortunately if you take them on in a debate you are on a hiding to nothing.

Yeah, it would have meant the football club we support would have a home. It would mean we wouldn't have a London rugby team competing with our cities rugby team. What a disaster that would have been.

*I am not for one moment saying SISU wouldn't charge us rent or try and mortgage it or any other thing that comes to mind.

Didn't you say they would use the asset to mortgage against to raise capital?

worse than another out of town hedge fund getting their hands on it with a 250 year lease?

Thats not correct though is it . Wasps as a club have borrowed the money to fund Wasps Rugby . Sisu dont want to fund CCFC , they want it tobe self funding , Imagine the rent they would have charged CCFC for the pleasure of playing in the Sisu Arena .

How much would that be then? How much to wasps pay Moonstone to play at the Moonstone Arena?

Surely if they have borrowed money to fund Wasps, then they too like SISU, are not funding the club? I would suggest Wasps reasons for moving to the Ricoh was for the stadium to provide extra money to enable Wasps to be self funding? So if that is right, what is the difference between Wasps and SISU?

sisu owning the arena was a recoverable situation, there is no recovering from the current agreement for CCFC, but you know that.

You mean you dont know ? , and Im debating with you .............................

Answer with my full quote please. You say SISU don't want to fund the club but Wasps owners fund Wasps, yet they are using money they have borrowed which is secured against the stadium. Therefore no risk to the owner of Wasps. So the owner of Wasps, like SISU, is not funding the club.

The difference between the two is Wasps are more ruthless and competent as a hedge fund.

Only difference between SISU and Wasps.
Wasps did the deal and continue to do business via charm.

To get back to the OP, there's no chance of a fan owned club if the club is not breaking even.
Unless the fans have money to burn, sorry, invest

Correct. However something tells me SUSU are not attempting to get the club self sufficient so it can be a fan owned club
