Why do they make it sound like he wouldn’t be this good if Ukraine wasn’t at war?

Yes, but against a very average opponent.

2 years after their first fight and Usyk was even more convincing

One with power though, stuffed Fury and AJ twice as well. All far bigger men. Hope he retires as he’s done all he needs to do

Usyk took Dubois jab out of the game by his footwork, he got Dubois over extending and picked him off with counter punches.

That was a master class in tactics. Not many people will appreciate just how good a game plan Usyk had.

Fury troubled Usyk with the uppercut, but Dubois never tried one, we know hes vulnerable to the body, but Dubois only tried one of note

I do like that the World Heavyweight champion is a proper boxer not some one punch specialist like wilder was.
Dubois picks up a paycheck but was never going to win.

Dubois had to go for the knock out but is limited. Usky battered fury around the ring even though fury was 3-4 stone and half a foot taller and for his height an amazing mover, Usyk head and shoulders HW of his generation. Dubois has got power and hurt Usyk to the body first fight, if he could catch him could hurt him, but Usyk is just too good

What he’s done when considering his natural size is amazing

I'd like to see Usyk vs Parker next.

Parker has earnt the right for a crack at the undisputed title.

But if Usyk were to retire he'd go down as one of the best of all time. And certainly the best since Mike Tyson.

Tyson massively overrated. Lewis was the best in that era easily.

Mike tyson was and still is the best heavyweight since Ali.

Before his imprisonment he was untouchable. Before he started fighting purely for money he was unbeatable.
In his prime he'd of smashed Holyfield and Lewis out of the ring.

Prison cost him over 4 years out of the ring, and without Cus D'amoto he was never the same animal.

He is undoubtedly the most underrated heavyweight of all time. Genuinely the GOAT. His footwork and upper body movement has never been matched since.
He had genuine knockout power in both fists, as well as being a master of the dark arts.

As good as Usyk is today, he wouldn't of got near Tyson. The fact that Usyk can step up from Cruiserweight to be undisputed heavyweight shows just how average the division is today.

No doubt on the winner thought Usyk looks a bit clumsy at times but then I haven’t stood next to
Him

Sorry mate, still disagree. He was awesome when he burst o the scene and as a young inexperienced fighter, destroyed everything in his path, but when he reached elite level, he didn't have the skill or knowhow to get the results. A smart fighter like Usyk or Lewis, would have too much for him imo. Tyson was a warrior and the best at what he did, but for pure boxing craft I think there's an argument he's not even in the top 10, although as with football or anything else its difficult to compare eras.

Be interested to see who he goes in with next. Needs a proper test but literally blowing everyone away. As you say could be special

Itauma will dominate the division once Usyk retires easy. He's far too quick for heavyweight will give everyone problems.

I think he needs to fight someone durable and more dangerous than what he's faced to date. Hrgovic, Ajagba, Bakole sort of level.

I bought into the BS and expected Whyte to be that durable test (more fool me !) but after last nights performance hrgovic is a great shout. He looked pretty good in terms of stamina, also decent chin. Next level up before you get to Parker especially as Warrens not going to put DD in with him either

Itauma is a bit of a hype train at the moment.
Could he go all the way? Who knows, hes faught no one of note as yet, and no ones thrown anything back at him so far. His opponents have been very carefully hand picked.

Last nights fiasco was embarrassing, Whyte turned up to pick up a cheque and walk off into retirement, he offered absolutely nothing.

It's no suprise that Moses is getting fast tracked now by Frank Warren just as Fury, and AJ are washed up and Dubois has been exposed as bottling it any time someone threatens to fights back.

Itauma got plaudits and loads of hype for stopping Mariusz Wach in 2 rounds last year, but everyone forgets that Wach was 44 at the time, and just like Dillion Whyte, only turned up for a retirement payday. He then went on to fight Demsey Mcean, who's never beaten anyone of note and aged 34 and now retired, and then Mike Balogun who was 41 and also looking to retire.
Before his fight with Wach there's literally no one of note whatsoever on his record.

Are you starting to see what I mean?
Let's not get carried away with the guys record, hes only been in with bums and has beens, hes nowhere near ready to step up to the elite level yet.

As Chisora said in his interview, Itauma needs to fight at British level next, a fight against a Frazer Clarke or Fabio Wardley would be ideal for his development, instead of the nonsense fights mentioned with Parker or Usyk.

Don't fall for the hype.

Forgot about Wardley. Would be an entertaining shoot out. Think itauma wins though, wardley is a great puncher but itauma looks like he’s got more in his locker boxing wise. Not had chin tested at all so far though

7 from 7 now. Better great if he can keep going, especially now we own the arena. Possibly someone to get behind for an open air card in a couple of summers. Not had anyone for a while locally decent. Thought River Wilson Bent was going to be the one but fizzled out quickly at a better level.
